Mimie, can you try a hair trial with your day-of stylist? And take some photos (try with a top that is similar to the cut of your dress, or even in your dress, to see how the whole look will, well, look)?
I've never noticed the length of my neck, so mine must be normalish. :)
Could you do half-up, half-down? That way you can feel comfortable knowing that your neck is covered but your hair is out of your face. There are some really pretty styles in this month's volume of "Brides" magazine!
If you wear your hair up in a higher up do, it will make your neck look longer and draw attention away from it. Go to your stylist for a consult and they should be able to tell you, or get a new one! :) lol
I do a lot of updo's on people with shorter necks and have never seen it to be a problem. I agree with Missy.......... an updo usually takes the focus off of your neck & shoulders, the focal point is then turned to the top of the head.

I'm not even sure if I posted this question in the right board, I just simply need to ask.
Ok I am not born with a killer neck, in fact I think mine is on the short side but I don't know, I have asked my sister and she said it's normal, not long but normal but I personally think it's short.
Anyway, I really feel insecure about my neck and for my wedding, I just want to let it loose with soft curls maybe but my mom keep on giving the hint she prefers for an updo. But I think updos will only highlight the shortness of one's neck, what do you think?
And if I really need to pull my hair up, what kind of style should I wear so as not to make my neck look any shorter as I don't want to feel uncomfortable on my wedding day..
Please any suggestion or advise I would really appreciate that...
p/s: What shoes color would match with a green dress?
