In short, I have not written my recap as of yet…but, I was over an hour late to our wedding and still ticked off at BM’s,myself for doing own hair, limo driver for getting lost …every few mins that ADDED up to that whole hour.
HOW should I word how much I am sorry to my guest, in our Thank you cards. It was a nasty weather day…and our friends were cold and some family got sick sitting out there waiting for me to arrive and I keep saying ” it is what it is” because now it’s over and done with.
I just don’t know how to express how sorry I am to our guests and not cry all over our thank you cards!

“It was what it was”
I am so sorry that you had to wait in the cold and I am so happy that I have great friends and family who understand that things do not always go as planned.
Thank you so much for being there for ____ and myself as we celebrated our marriage……

I don’t know that you need to apologize per se in your thank you cards. You could probably really emphasize how thankful you are that they were there to celebrate with you. But if you really wanted to mention what happened you could try something like this: “Thank you so much for braving the inclement weather to celebrate our wedding with us. Even though things didn’t go quite as planned, your love and support meant the world to us.”
Hope this helps!
