If your looking for something in Europe, Spain, Greece....etc I found an AMAZING WEBSITE that I fell in love with. I'm on it all the time looking at different suggestions and ideas, and they are pretty affordable, I built a package for 10 days to Paris, and then ibiza spain for 4000.00 and thats expensive for them, everything else is a cheaper.....

We found Mexico VERY affordable and amazing.
We had a destination wedding in Playa del Carmen (as well as our honeymoon) and our guests are still talking about what an awesome time they had and how they'd love to go back.
Our whole trip (10 nights) plus airfare cost us $4,000.
For 5K all inclusive you could go to a Sandals in St. Lucia. I stayed at La Toc, but would recommend the Grande for better beaches.
@bride2bejc: How did you like La Toc? My DH and I are thinking about going there for a vacation in a few years. He wants to stay there because of the golf course.
@loveknows: DH and I went to the Bahamas for our honeymoon and loved it. I will say that if you want to do some exploring, I don't know if I would recommend the Bahamas...although I thought it was GREAT for just relaxing at the resort. One place I love love love is the Virgin Islands. There is so much to do, yet you can just chilax on the beach if you want. There are several resorts that are very affordable. Also, vrbo has some amazing options too!
Puerto Rico has a little something for everyone. If you check out cheapcarribean.com you can get some amazing deals. The Wyndham Rio Mar is a beautiful resort. It's about 30 minutes from San Juan, amazing architecture, and you have to see the forts if you go, and about 10 minutes from El Yunque the rainforest. You can also hit up a snorkeling boat and visit a bunch of the islands while there.
how about a cruise? january is the best time and you can go to a few different ports with plenty to explore!
We also went to Playa Del Carmen..stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach for 8 nights with airfare and everything for $3900. We also looked into Couples Swept Away in Negril. Also, Privelege Aluxes in Isla Mujeres was REALLY affordable when we first started looking. No matter where you pick, it will be amazing! I want to go on another honeymoon :)
Well, this place might be perfect for you. It is in Costa Rica, so tropical for sure and January is one of the nicest months there. Really gorgeous & romantic, not far from the states, & well within your budget. It is in it's own private Rain Forest with hiking trails and waterfall swimming pools. Lots of adventure and lots of great tours in the area. All Inclusive, with just about everything you could want.

We can't decide where to go. Our wedding is in December, we would like to go at the end of January. Somewhere pretty, tropical or not, but affordable (5k or less) It can be all-inclusive but it doesn't have to be. We love exploring so we wouldn't necessarily stay at the hotel every day. Recommendations? Thank you in advance!
