We are having an outdoor wedding/reception at the same location. We are having a short, quick ceremony. There won’t be any rows or chairs or an aisle. I just want everyone to grab a drink at the bar, find a seat at one of the tables, and then I’ll walk out with my dad and stand in front of all the tables with our officiant. We will have a quick exchange of vows and rings. Then the reception and dinner will start immediately afterwards.
I want to make a “program” that can be handed out to guests that explains how it will work. I don’t want my guests confused at all the tables and chairs, but the absence of an aisle. I’m not sure how to write it or what to write. Any ideas?

Maybe have the your program worded exactly like you said!:
“Please grab a drink at the bar and find a seat at one of the tables before the ceremony begins.”
that sounds pretty similar to something we might do as well, and our plan (because we only have 30 guests) is to make sure the usher just ensures that everyone knows what they’re doing and gets people to sit down.

@londongal: I am printing out casual wedding “programs” to be passed out as guests arrive. If you have a similar situation as me, maybe it can give you a couple ideas 🙂
Here’s our wording:
