I’m starting to work on our wedding programs and I am in need of same MAJOR wording help!
Usually you would simply write “Bride of the Parents: blah blah blah”
However my parent situation is messy. My parents were divorced. Then my mom died. Then my dad got remarried to the woman he had an affair with that caused my parents divorce.
My dad and his wife are paying for the majority of the wedding so I know I can’t just totally leave her off the program but I don’t want any wording that suggestions I think of her as my mom.
How in the world do I list them in the program?! HELP!!!

How about listing
Father of the Bride: your dad’s name
Then either under that, or at the bottom of the section if you are listing a bunch of attendants, etc, something like
Additional thanks to: your dad’s wife’s name

Exactly what @AutumnElegance: said. Mention her, do it nicely, and that’s that. =)

Or you could do “Father of the bride” and “stepmother of the bride” OR “Father of the bride, John, and his wife, Cindy”
I’m not in your situation but you definitely aren’t alone, and at least one bee will have the perfect solution for you.

@kate02121: We’re getting married the same weekend!
Thanks for your suggestion. I like the Father of the bride and his wife.

I 2nd FOB and his wife. You could also put an “In remembrance of Mom’s Name, Bride’s mother” in there, too, if you’re wanting to differentiate more.
