Ok, so I bought a dress Saturday, and as soon as I walked out to the parking lot, I started questioning my choice…
I am having an outdoor wedding in a historical train station in Savannah, GA.
I have always seen myself in a lace gown, but somehow ended up “Saying yes to the dress” to a silk gown… I am afraid that the dress I actually bought is too fancy for my outdoor/rustic-feel wedding.
I need your opinions, because after tomorrow, I can’t change my order!
Here is the dress I actually bought…
And here is the dress I THINK I want…
PLEASE be brutally honest… I am completely torn between the two!!
Thanks, guys!! 🙂

If you sgtarted questioning your decision as soon as you left, it’s not the right dress. Get something you’re really in love with, whether it’s the lace dress or a different one. 🙂

The lace dress was my dress! But even if it weren’t my dress, I’d vote for it- it looks STUNNING on you!

Oooooh I hate to say it but I love #2!

I agree. #2 is the winner IMO!

Well, for what it’s worth, I LOVE the dress you chose! It’s beautiful, and it fits you like it was made for you! It’s elegant and sophisticated, yet it’s also light and fun looking. The overall look is very polished, but not at all too polished for an outdoor, rustic wedding.
I also love lace dresses, but I personally do not think that the lace dress that you are pining over can hold a candle to the stunning silk dress you already chose. It’s very pretty and very sweet looking, but I don’t think it has the presence that the other dress offers.
I’m not — at ALL — trying to talk you out of changing your mind IF you’re SURE that you made the wrong decision for you. However, I’m thinking that there is a reason you bought this dress and that the store personnel encouraged you to choose it. At the very least, before you switch your order, I would encourage you to go back and try on BOTH gowns again before you make the switch, just to make sure you’re making the right decision. The thing about feeling the way you do now is that if you switch to the OTHER dress, it’s possible that, once you would change the order, you may feel the pain of having ruled out the first one you chose. It’s very difficult to decide between two gowns that you love, but I think the key is to 1) not worry too much about which dress fits your “theme” and 2) to focus on which dress would break your heart if you did NOT wear it.
I hope that helps!

Is that Bridals by Lori… and Monty in the back of the first pic? I’m a huge SYTTD fan 🙂
Anyways, I can see why you’re torn. I LOVE both dresses on you. I think the first one gives you a more curvy, sexy figure, but the second one is more classic and elegant. I think it depends on what type of wedding you’re having!

I think the lace one looks absolutely AMAZING on you! I would absolutely go with that one if you are able to change.

I’m a fan of dress #1 and how simple it is, but if you’re not feeling it, then go for dress 2!! You look beautiful in them both!

Mrs. Fireworks, yeah, it is! 🙂 And I think that’s one of the reasons I ended up chosing this dress… all the consultants were telling me how good the dress looked on me, while Monty was doing my hair, and the designer was throwing multiple dresses at me… It was quite overwhelming!! Don’t get me wrong, it was tons of fun, but it was alot of pressure!
But…yes, there HAS to be a reason that I fell in love with this dress… it’s just SO different than what I had been looking at and thought that I wanted…
ahh…I don’t know!!! :/ but like I said, if I change my mind, it has to be be tomorrow, or I’m “stuck” with the original…

The satin dress is vary va-va-voom, a’la Jessica Rabbit. But I prefer the understated look of the lace dress. It accentuates your awesome figure beautifully, without overemphasizing it. Also, with the cut of the satin dress, it kind of makes you look shorter than you do in the lace dress. Whichever you choose, you’ll look gorgeous.

For me is hands down the lace dress, amazing!!!!!! super gorgeous, I would love to wear that gown and how fun that you got to “say yes to the dress” The satin one I don’t think is too fancy actually, it is very plain but not too much. The lace gives you more curves and you look taller, it is gorg!

I prefer the lace dress and I think you should switch to that. Not only do I like the actual dress itself better but the way it looks on you – world of difference! Get the lace!

hunn go and get the lace dress, not only it makes your figure look extra nice but it goes with your theme for your wedding.I’m not even a fan of lace but that one looks pretty good on you..change it!
