Have you tried Poplar Grove? It's a new plantation 10 minutes west of town with a great river house on the water for rent. What about the Lovely Woodlands Inn in Summerville? It's the only 4 star hotel in South Carolina & very reasonable all-inclusive rates! Peppar Plantation is nice also, and affordable. Lastly, try the little chapel on shem creek - it's a new venue right on the water in Mt Pleasant. Good Luck!!
old santee canal state park....very pretty & great price. I'm using the gatherings of dorchester-it's in the city of dorchester so it's a little out of the way but great for a rustic type wedding (venue looks like a barn) Also, the country club of summerville has an all inclusive package at a great price too if you want to save time & leg work or organizing everything from far away. They have a pretty new pavillion & a lake you can get married by.
I'm planning a SC wedding from NY so I know it can be tough. Good luck :)

Ok ladies I really need some help with locations for a reception. I live 8 hours away and was just down for a week visiting and trying to get things booked. We called the Creek Club at I'on and were told our date was available so we went and checked it out then were getting ready to sign the next day when we were told they messed up. So we have to wait until tomorrow to see if the girl who had never seen it yet wants the place. So I need some help fast on some reception places that I can call. I've called tons and so far everything is booked and I'm really starting to freak out. We have our photographer with no place to go. :( Ugh please help
Oh, and I'm posting this on the Knot to help me try and get quicker and more results so some of you may run across this again haha.
