We are getting married October 10th and we have no help paying for the wedding. We getting close to our wedding and funds are almost gone and so here is my problem….. The groomsmen are wearing tan dress pants and white button down shirt and the groom was going to wear a tan suit but now that it looks like we might not have the money to buy a suit do you think he would look ok in just dress pants and a white button down like the groomsmen???

Yes that will absolutely look fine. Just put your groom in a different color tie than the other guys so he stands out a bit.

@Miss Austin: Are any of the guys wearing ties with the button downs? How about having an accessory for your FI that would separate him from the rest of the groomsmen (i.e. a different color tie)?

@Moose1209: Moose you beat me to the punch lol.

I think it all depends on your FI’s personal style. If he’d like to dress up a little more, see if you can cut corners somewhere else in the budget that is less important to you guys. Otherwise, it should be fine! I like the PP’s suggestions of him standing out by the tie color though.

Maybe he could wear a vest in addition to the button down, but I think you have to have a certain style for the wedding for that to make sense.
He should definately wear a tie if the other guys aren’t.

We are having a very casual wedding outdoors, I wasnt planning on them having ties but that sounds like a really good idea.
@Edina…His style is very casual. When i asked him at the beginning what he would like to wear he wanted to wear shorts and polo shirts ( he was serious) hahaha lets just says he didnt get his way.
THANKS yall are the BEST
