We’re having a church wedding and I would like to drape the aisle with tulle. The problem is, I can’t decide on the color(s). We have a white runner with a black/red monogram & red rose petals. Which color(s) do you think I should use for the tulle?? I need help with the ceremony decor as well as the reception decor. And our wedding is on a very small budget so I’m looking for “diy” and/or anything inexpensive.

@miiss.perez: if you have a limited budget just skip the tulle. if you do have it, i think white tulle is the best. not only does it look better, you may also have a better chance of selling it afterwards.

I agree with PP. Since you have an aisle runner, you can skip the tulle if it’s not in the budget. But if you go with it, definitely white. White is typically more wedding-y, goes with everything (so will match watever decor is currently in the church), and I think that having mostly white decor with pops of red and black would look best!

I like the idea of incorporating red into the tulle somehow. maybe you could use red in some way when you drape it down the pews. like hold it up with little red bows.

@miiss.perez: You are working in a short time frame! What kind of reception decor are you looking for? Centerpieces?
Are you using white linens? napkins?
Other than your color scheme do you have any theme to the wedding?
Do you want the decor to reflect your personalities or interests? If so, tell us about you.
