    Hi Bees,

Mr. Tacos is going to visit Canada this weekend and will return Monday.  Over the last few days, I've realized how blessed I am to have this wonderful person who supports my decision to go to college.  He is making this happen for me, and had I not had his guidance I probably wouldn't have gone.

I know I am cleaning this weekend (after I take my exam), but I wanted to have some extra special things when he returns.    I don't have much money so I was curious if anyone would share their ideas?

So here's some background on Mr. Tacos:

The way to his heart is baked goods, his parents dog, hockey, and The Twilight Zone.

I was thinking maybe a fresh apple pie, a couple of dog toys, and DVRing TZ episodes.

    Thoughts?  The more the merrier!

Oh I LOVE these ideas! Maybe have your house set up to watch an episode (snacks & drinks, dim lights, maybe make fake "tickets") for when he gets home.

Does he like truffles? There's a super easy recipe that uses oreos, cream cheese and chocolate chips and they make for an uber romantic surprise!

I think Mr. Tacos will love your ideas!  Sometimes with guys it's the simple things they appreciate most. How about if you did all that plus when he showed up at home you could be wearing a little something special for him?! Wink

@Mrs. Dee to Bee:  Sounds like you need to share the truffle recipe, sounds delish!

OMG, kjpugs that is a super cute idea!   I think he would be sincerely surprised I would do that and make a big production out of it.... I always hate watching his shows, but he watches my wedding shows with me.

The truffles sound good!  Is there a posted recipe?

Tacos, those ideas are great! Some wine, apple pie and TZ for an evening sounds awesome.

If you are going to wear a hockey jersey and heels make sure you wear the team that is the enemy ;)  that way its implied that it has to come off!

the way to my mans heart is chicken wings! I have made drum sticks in honey garlic sauce so that they are big chicken wings.

Truffle Recipe is on kraft.com, but here it is:

    2/3 c. Oreos

    1 pkg cream cheese

Smush the oreos in a food processor, then add the cream cheese in chunks and swirl it all together a la food processor. For best results, let it chill in the fridge. Then roll the chocolatey mix into little balls and cover in melted chocolate. Chill them and store in refrigerator. (:

You could do a hot-or-cold hide-and-seek game. Scatter the objects (baked goods in a cupboard, a sign on the back of the DVR saying what you recorded, dog toys scattered randomly) throughout the house. The closer he gets to any of them, the more articles of clothing you remove (hotter Smile). As he gets farther from the objects, the clothing goes back on.

Maybe add some candles that will lead somewhere special where the magic happens?  Also, a movie watching snack bucket.  The custom tickets can be in there too.  His favorite popcorn, movie theatre candy, and the DVDs all presented in a nice package.
