My sister did a fall wedding. She had the most beautiful sage green raw silk dresses from David’s Bridal. It was 5 years ago and I don’t know if you can still get it. Their stuff is sometimes questionable, but we felt soo pretty in the dresses. I still have mine if you want it. Size 2. There is a lavender colored rose that you could have the bridesmaids hold. My sister wanted it, but it ended up being too expensive.

My mother made the favors. She found the best sliver plated picture frames and wrapped them in the plum tissue paper and put a silk leave from Michaels on it. They will have a lot of fall leaves there as the season approaches.

A friend of mine did floral arrangements in tall hurrican vases and put fruit in the vase. You could totally put green apples or green pears in the vase and have the flowers coming out. I love centerpieces with lavender. At http://www.sav-oncrafts.com they sell dried lavender that you could put into sachets for favors. If people put that in their car or drawer, it would smell so nice! They also sell a beautiful lavender wreath on that website. I think they have plum sea glass too.

Go for it. This wedding will be beautiful and unique. Post pictures as you get more things done! Good luck!

I think you are on the right track. I am having a fall wedding but I am not having "traditional fall colors". I’m planning on using cornflower blue, champagne and the touches of chocolate brown and merlot to make it a little more "seasonal".

As far as your BM dresses go, I think that different shades of one color can be really pretty but really its up to you and your girls!

I don’t think it would look strange as long as its a little balanced (aka not 4 bridesmaids with 1 color and 1 with another — unless the 1 is MOH).

I think purple/sage is beautiful.  I would do the following:

I would have all the girls wear sage dresses and have their flowers be purple with lots of green.  I would also allow the girls to wear different dresses so they can have a dress that flatters them.   I am adverse to purple dress with green sash or the opposite only because I had a friend that was a bridesmaid in a wedding like that and she said the dresses reminded her of Barney, the dinosaur.

I love the grapes in the inspiration board.  If you are doing low centerpiecs it would be cool to do alternating ones.  One with purple grapes and ones with green grapes.

I think it will look gorgeous but then again purple and green are my favorite colors.  I say go for what makes you happy!!!  You don’t want to have regrets over your wedding day decor.

I think sage is perfect for fall.  It reminds me of moss.  I would consider, putting the MOHs in the other color (i.e. bridesmaids in Moss, and MOHs in purple), all with the same bouquet, mostly purple with lots of greenery.    I would tie green and purple together in the flowers and decor and not on the dresses, but that’s just my opinion.

I love the champagne color as an accent.  For your flowers I would champagne/cream flowers with a touch of purple (if you want color) and greens.  The champagne would be nice as accents for the flower girl dresses, champagne colored dresses with colored sashes or white dresses with champagne sashes.

I think it looks great! However, I’d only go this route if they get the same dress… if you start doing different styles, it could look a little too… messy
