I got on the scale this morning, and I now weigh 3lbs less than I did when I gave birth to my son 6 years ago. I officially gained 40lbs in the last 2 years. 20 of those lbs in the last 9 mos. I KNOW my terrible eating habits have gotten out of control, and I now have a desk job, whereas before I walked all over the place.
I got a gym membership for Christmas, and have YET to step inside to even SEE the place! I’m going tonight! I NEED to lose this weight! I feel horrible, and HATE every picture I see of me. I really can’t even believe this is me!
I’m in a long distance relationship, which I sometimes thinks permits me to be a pig, since “I wont’ see him until next month”.
Anyways, I need a kick in my rear, and I need someone to hold me accountable. I know I can do this. I lost about 30lbs several years ago on weight watchers, so I’m going to TRY to incorporate that in with a gym routine.

@itsmle: Have you considered a personal trainer? They will keep you accountable at the gym amd teahow you how to properly do the exercises, though if it is a big box gym you need to be very careful about choosing one they are definitely not all equal! They are expensive but if you find the right one and willing to put in the work and the lifestyle change the results can be amazing!
Also try myfitness pal it will also help you keep accountable by looking at a typed page of the calories you are eating!

I’m using MFP, although I haven’t been good about it for several months.

@itsmle: Good for you! It’s a good time to make a change. Do you have friends you can work out with? I have a friend that does a Boot Camp class with me every Tuesday night and each of us motivates the other. We also try to walk together after class 1-2 times a week. A buddy always makes it easier for me.

I am with you!! My wedding is 3.5 months away! The shower is 2 months from today and some girls and I are going on a trip to Arizona at the beginning of may and I just GAINED 2 pounds last weekend. What?! I havegot get my butt in gear. Maybe we can help each other? 🙂

I’m on MFP! my user name is jkp5023….add me! I’ll help keep you accountable! If you don’t log on for a couple days to track your food and your exercise your pals can call you out on it! Also there are forums on there where there’s a ton of advice.
