Cut out any foods with lots of sodium, drink lots of water, and get lots of exercise! In 3 weeks you should be able to lose 6-8 pounds with diet and exercise 🙂

The best way to lose weight is to keep track of your calories.  It is healthy, and teaches you good eating habits unlike crash dieting.  You can learn how many calories you need to eat here.  You eat 500 calories less than your BMR number to loose a pound a week.

I agree with MissAsB. I’ve lost ten pounds so far in the last two months, and I know that’s the healthy way – to lose only a couple pounds a week. I tracked my calories for the first month and once I got the hang of it, I stayed consistent with portionings and watched how much I ate. But snacking is healthy too! For snacks I have a block of cheese, whole-wheat triscuit crackers, yogurt, protein bars or fruit/veggies.

Cutting out caffeine can help, and watching carbs. Of course, if you’re really desperate to lose a good chunk of weight, exercise is key as well. And a lot of exercise can be fun, ask your honey to run and kick the soccer ball around, take a bike ride, go for a swim at a local Y’s open swim time… etc.. You can do it!!

Drink lots of water, walk a lot (walking can surprisingly slim people down pretty quickly.) Life weights. I know it seems like you might bulk up your arms, but lifting weights speeds up your metabolism. Definitely cut out sodium as well. Fiber fiber fiber! Oh and be wary of even diet soda. If you cut it out and switch to unsweetened green tea it can make a difference.
