Is this person working for a tax filing agency? If so, perhaps he/she gave it to a co-worker to finish?
The filing for returns deadline is April 15th. Do you think that person will be back by then?
this person does it privetly... i dont know if this person will return before april 15... this is the first time i dont go to hrblock... im just worry because i really need the return money as soon as possible
ahhh!!! can you file for an extension? your income tax forms have duplicate copies, right (one of state, another for federal, another for your own records)? perhaps you can use those copies instead (the 'for your own records' copies since I assume you gave that person your state/federal copies)?
(how irresponsible of this person to just go and leave you hanging like this. i understand it's a family emergency but didn't even call you after a week?)

Amen, sister! Or at least....someone private but you can trust. (My mom does mine since she's an accountant. I just "pay" her w/ a shopping spree. =) I hope this works out for you.
I think the lesson learned is to provide them with copies of your documents instead of originals, so that if they have an emergency you still have the documents and can get them processed by a business.

so get someone to make my taxes, i pay 150 so this person can make my taxes and my FIs... that was last week... i called the person today and i got inform the person had a family emergency. the person has to get out of us tomorrow that she/he will tried to finished our taxes today before she/he takes the airplain tomorrow. so it was ok... the person told me she/he was going to called when its done... it is 11:20pm and still no call
im so worry... this person has all of our papers and i do trust this person, and i believe there is a family emergency, but i dont know how long will she/he be out of the country... im worry
what should i do???
