How about some oranges or maroons? Aubergine can vary in color…sometimes it looks more red, sometimes it looks more purple. Do you have a swatch of color or picture of the BM dresses?

What about nice pants and a button down shirt and tie, but no jacket?  You could do a light sage green shirt with an aubergine striped tie.  Pants could be khaki.

That aubergine color is gorgeous. What about grey suits with cream shirts and a tie that pulls in the aubergine and perhaps a splash of green. It’s not especially Fall-like, but I think grey (particularly a lighter grey) would look fab with the aubergine.

I think dark brown would be just fine.  Have them wear a burnt orangey colored or gold vest/tie.  I think the brown would look better than a black tux.  It has more of a rustic feel.

I second the grey suites with the tie bringing in the the aubergine color.

I think a dark brown suit would be a nice alternative to black. You could pull in a secondary accent color or the aubergine for the ties. That says "fall" to me more than gray. You could even lose the jackets if they are too formal and dark for you.

I would totally go wiht the grey suite idea.. would really accent the purple.. also

the idea of plum purple and a burnt orange is really pretty

there is also a limey or dark moss green that really  sets off a darker purple color.

I am getting married in July 2010 and our colors will be  dark aubergine , lime green, silver and a darker fuchia as accent color.

just and idea, hope it helps in your decision.
