Hello everyone! I’m planning to have this dress made in china but I can’t decide if I want to keep it like the original or have sequins and beadings added to the lace. I do like a little bling but at the same time don’t want it if it takes alter the beauty of the dress. Please let me know which you think will look best. I would really appreciate it!

Honestly, the sequins make it look cheap. The original looks classy and modern and bridal. I would not add the sequins.

krisle91: Stick with the original!

Original… And buy a nice sparkle belt to cinch the waist and add some dazzle

Adding a light sparkle would be pretty. I like the sparkles on a bride…especially when she’s walking down the isle & the light is hitting the dress. It makes her look even more special (in my opinion) & angelic. I don’t think sequins, but definitely beading. That dress is stunning. I can’t wait to see pictures of it when it’s done being made. That’s the reason I check the bee everyday haha. I love seeing everyone’s dresses on them. I got married in May so I don’t really have anything to do for a wedding but I’m a suckered for brides in their dresses. So pictures are a must please 🙂

Totally agree with everyone else go with a sash or belt!

Thank you so much everyone for your replies! Honestly I like the original as well but wanted a little sparkle on it but not sure what to do to it to make it look pretty, sparkly yet at the same time not cheap looking. Ive thought about just putting small pearls to the flowers. What do you all think?
FutureMrs.White: llussier: Missjan2015: I’ve always wanted a dazzling sash but when I tried it with the dress, it doesn’t go well with it at all.
Peanut-Sue: Thanks for your ideas! Do you have any suggestion as to what kind of beadings I should do to it?
Grr I have a pic but I cant upload it with my phone.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I LOVE the sequins!

I wouldn’t add sequins- instead how about a nice Blingy Belt?

I’ve seen a lot of these Chinese made dresses and the beadwork always looks cheap. Don’t do it!

krisle91: Love the original! I think adding sequins takes away from lace. Why not add a statement diamond/crystal necklace?

krisle91: You could always dress it up with a statement necklace to add bling rather than a bridal belt. Something like this one would do the trick:
I just think it would be shame to ruin the elegant line of the dress with a belt.

krisle91: I like the simplicity of the original dress, but I don’t think it looks bad with the sequins. Its not any help, but I don’t think you can go wrong with either because the sequins in the second picture is very subtle, so I don’t think its tacky or anything like that. Whatever you choose, I think a beaded belt does really makes a difference though. What are the designers of the those two dresses?

I agree with PPs. The sequins don’t really add anything and I fear it might make it look cheap. I LOVE the original dress. Who is the designer?
