I wore a ring around as my weddding band last night and I’m not even considering something similar as a wedding band lol. I just want to be married.

That is an AMAZING set! I love that you chose something wider and detailed instead of just a thin pave band! The rings look awesome together and the band can definitely stand alone if you feel like just wearing a band.

I think it’s just one of those things that happens when you get married.

For example, I have a family ring from my grandfather that I’ve worn every single day since he passed away, and in all those years, it never occurred to me to NOT wear it.  I wore the ring whether I was going out, staying at home, in the shower, going to bed… anywhere and everywhere, I wore my ring and never wanted to take it off.  I was mostly the same way with my engagement ring, but ever since I got married, there are times when I don’t feel like wearing ANY of my rings, not even my family ring. lol

I guess the difference is that I wore my family ring solely because I WANTED to wear it and there was never any pressure or obligation to wear it, but as a married woman, my husband and I both believe that we ought to be wearing our wedding rings in public.  My wedding ring is the sign of my commitment to him and there IS an obligation to wear it out of devotion and respect for my husband/our marriage.  I think feeling that constant obligation to wear rings where there was no such obligation before is what makes me feel like rebelling against it a little bit sometimes.

It could also be that I simply used to forget that I was wearing my family ring.  That is, since I never took the ring off, I never really had to think about it, but my engagement ring and wedding ring are quite a bit tighter on my finger (especially combined), and even though they fit perfectly during the day, I can’t sleep with them on or I’ll wake up with a numb finger.  This means that I have to be a lot more aware of whether or not I’m wearing them and I have to make a conscious effort to take them off and put them back on.  I also take off my family ring now because I’d feel guilty wearing my family ring but not my engagement ring and wedding ring, so if I don’t wear one of them, I won’t wear ANY of them. lol  I make sure to put them on before I go out, but if I’m only going to be staying at home, I might put them on or I might not, it all depends on my mood.

@LissaBeans:  Um do you want to post a dozen more pictures of your set so I can stare at it more?
