Oh dear!  I did not have anything like this happen to me since I bought a sample.  However I’m sure your dress will arrive on time.  Did the dress shop give you any indication that the dress may not arrive in time?

even if it arrives at the end of march, would you have enough time for alterations? will they pay the rush alterations fee?

Giving them hell will probably help. The squeaky wheel gets the oil and all that.

*hugs*

I am so sorry you are going through this 🙁  I am sure S&M will make it right since they are one of the biggest names in bridal!

It should be fine; I’m sure the dress can be made in that time, assuming they bump yo to the front of the production line.  Most of the usual delay in getting a dress made is the backup from other orders.  Fingers crossed for you!

@Treejewel19:  OH NO!!! I am so sorry this happened! I will say that I think it’s possible for sure. I think they wayyyyy pad order times (I’ve seen time and again when a mistake is made on SYTTD they are magically able to get a new one there in time, every time.)

And HUGS to you for having to deal with this stress! Frown

I can understand your fear and frustration.  I will say that my seamstress did not want to start my alterations (including re-sizing the bodice) until 6 weeks prior to my wedding and was happy to go later than that (but I’m ocd and requested we start 8 weeks prior).

In the event of emergency, my seamstress sews amazing wedding dresses from the ground up and has been known to do them on a rush basis.  I am in So. Cal., but it might be worth the trek if you find yourself in a state of emergency.

@Treejewel19:  How did your appointment go?  Did your dress come in ok?
