The color red you chose for the shoe is too blue-based. Maybe if you chose a more maroon-toned shoe that had more brown in it, it would go better. I think you can definitely find a great pair of shoes that have some personality to them in terms of color without clashing with the light pink, cream, and brown. Maybe something like this...
Good luck!
Hmm it seems like your wedding day will be very soft and pretty!!!!! The shoes is really really pretty!!! However I think that the shoes COULD clash...is your dress long as in 'all the way to the ground and might hide your shoe a bit'?? Cuz I think you may be able to pull it off if you have a long dress and your shoes aren't so 'in your face'. If your dress is shorter in length...I personally think it may clash...is it too late to get new shoes?
Are they going to show under your dress? If you have a tea-length then I wouldn't recommend it. However, if your dress is floor-length you should go for it! It's your wedding and you should be able to wear what ever color of shoe you want! Plus, you'll be able to wear them at a late date too. Good luck!
Our wedding colors almost match! I'm brown, a soft orange coral and cream, my dress is also ivory. I am wearing red shoes, I love them and they make me feel good. More then likely, nobody will notice them under your dress, and if they do, I doubt they will think "oh those shoes are horrible, they clash with her colors" :) My motto is, do what you love and what makes you happy, and screw what everyone else thinks. Best of luck to you and enjoy your shoes (whatever color you end up choosing)
oops, I should have noted that my dress is floor length. So you won't see the shoes until I'm dancing or unless I want you to see them....
Do you have a picture of your dress to share? That might help. And what color are your bridesmaids' dresses?
I don't think you have to worry about your shoes clashing with your wedding colors. I think you should be more concerned about them clashing with your dress, or your bridesmaids' dresses.
Will it clash? You bet.
Can you wear them? Hell yeah! Isn't the important thing that they match your outfit? - and if that's a whitish dress you're in the clear. If people are trying to see if your shoes match the linens, then that's their problem. Or maybe it is your problem if your wedding is so uneventful they don't have anything better to do.... But of course, that won't be the case!
My wedding colors are blue and green. My shoes are purple. Why? It's my favorite color.
Tee hee, I just posted about being post-colorific. I too am wearing red boots with a supposedly blue and champagne color scheme. I think it will be fine. After all, the only time anyone is going to see my shoes is when I flash them!
My dress is by La Sposa. It's definietely Ivory. Very simple, made entirely of dupioni silk with zero embellishments, lace, or bling. It's the Muriel from the 2008 silk collection (without the shoulder wrap shown in the picture) Sorry, I couldn't find a like to paste here.
Oh, and my bridesmaid dresses are dark brown silk shantung by WTOO.

My dress is ivory and my wedding colors are brown, light pink, and cream. Can I wear a red shoe with my dress or will it all clash too much? I'm getting differing opinions...
This is the shoe.
