Yep, I see what you mean. Both are beautiful but I do prefer the second. Good luck when you call tomorrow and when the change is made, ask for it in writing via email/mail/or printed in person so that you have a record of it!

I personally prefer the white applique but it's clear the pewter one is a major reason you fell in love with it in the first place. I would complain to the store about it and change it as they really should have told you.
I like the pop of the pewter applique. Is it too late to change the order?
I can't wait for them to open. I'm ready to cry, beg whatever to have it changed. I do remember her telling me that production closes down for 2wks to a month in February because of Chinese New Year and I doubt they started making my dress already so hopefully I can change it.
I really loved my consultant. She was really nice to work with that I even drove back 3hrs in the rain to purchase it because the bridal shop 10 minutes away from me was very unprofessional. I really think she didn't know because she did mention that not that many people order white dresses anymore and its a fairly new dress.

Don't cry and don't beg - yet. Be very calm and very direct. Practice out loud exactly what you are going to say before you go in there, so that you don't get shrill or emotional. Your sales assistant was lovely and very helpful, but she did not tell you a very important piece of information about the dress that you were purchasing. If that's because she didn't know, then that is the store's fault for not properly training her. You made a decision based on incomplete information and that is the fault of the store. Keep repeating this calmly, and ask to speak to a manager, the manager's manager, and then to Head Office.
If you don't get any joy from that.....then cry and beg. :) Best of luck!
@mrsjjohnson2b: Did they let you change it!? If not I also love how the white white looks... I love how it blends and the second is gorgeous, whichever it is it will be GORGEOUS on your wedding day--- don't fret...no tears! :)
They might be able to give you the white dress with the pewter beading, as the beading/embellishment comes later in production. I actually like the white beading, but if you want the pewter beading you should call and explain that what you ordered is not what you are getting and you want this to be somehow rectified.
i like the second pic better too... you can always use the response that they didnt inform you that the beading would be different on the dress and therefore you are entitled to having them either order it in another colour or apply the pewter/silver beading to the dress you ordered.

Well, I just called the shop and spoke with my consultant and she told me the order has already been placed and she would have to check with the ordering manager to see if she can call and have it changed. The manager is off today so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
If they say that they can't, I'll ask if I can have the applique changed. I don't mind having the white dress with the pewter accents but the white applique does nothing for me.
I'm a really sad Bee right now.

With the White on White you might be able to wear a necklace with more to it.
I think its beautiful in both.
UPDATE: They were able to change it to the Diamond White. I didn't have to beg or cry or anything!!! I'm a happy Bee right now!!
Yay! That's such great news (: I definitely love the pop of of the pewter better than the more subtle detailing in the first picture.
i really like the pewter aplique, I hope you are able to change it, you should be able to , it was only 2 weeks ago.
Edit: Just saw you could change it YAY!
So happy for you! I just ordered Adeline about 2 weeks ago as well! Not sure if your consultant told you the timeline of getting your Maggie dress, but they are running later than most designers, roughly 6-7 months, when usually its 4-6 months, mine will be here July...so excited! Congrats!

I totally fell in love with Adeline and had to have her. I tried on the Diamond White as it was the only one they had in the store. Totally loved it. My mom is paying for my wedding and she has been a complete ANGEL letting me choose whatever I want. She has given some input but if I say No she just lets it go. So I know she would want me to wear white so because of her good behavior I got white. Well what I didn't know and the sales consultant didn't tell me is that the white has a white applique whereas the diamond white and ivory as pewter.
Another Bee brought it to my attention because she just received her dress and was very disappointed. The White with the white applique doesn't pop at all. All you see is a little sparkle where as the Diamond white with pewter is like boom!! What do you ladies think. Which one do you prefer the first picture or the second? I ordered my dress 2 weeks ago and will call the store tomorrow to see if I can change it
