Haha, classic! I did the same thing with a flower that you actually wore around your neck like a choker! Finally, my MOH shot me a message and said, "Listen, I'm not wearing that. It's really ugly."
HA! I love that!
I haven't played a joke on my bridesmaids - but I did suggest that they could wear any color shoes they wanted to with their dress. I noted that if I was wearing the dress, I would wear the gold shoes in my closet.
They apparently all had a sidebar to try to figure out if i was joking...which I was not. They're all going to wear black shoes...and have asked that I offer no further suggestions due to my terrible taste! Uh oh... ;)

I actually really like that flower and wouldn't have thought you were joking. ;) Although it is a pretty large accessory for a bridesmaid...
Hahaha I send my BMs hideous dresses all the time and say "look i found the PERFECT" dress for you guys!
I told one of my bridesmaids that I needed her to grow out her (very short) hair so that it could be styled the same way as my other BMs. She knows how laid back I am and didn't believe me for a second.

Haha....I think I would get a couple of "Wow, thats interesting"....probably 1 or 2 "how pretty!" and a few non-responses. I've heard so many bridal party horror stories that I have tried to make things as painless as possible for my girls and they are all so accomodating to me. They are the best. I might have to try that on them though. 
I took a pictures of me holding up an absolutely hideous BM dress (were talking bows and pick ups and frills all over the place!) and sent them a text with the pic saying Id found their dress. Obviously they knew I was joking but it was funny

Oh gosh, very funny! I'd be nervous to do this to my girls...I'm sure one of them would totally end up loving it and then I'd feel bad telling them its a joke! That is my life...I swear.
I haven't played any tricks on my bridesmaids, but my FSIL's MOH played a trick on her on April Fools. It just happened that the 1st fell right around the time that they were expecting the bridesmaid dresses to come in (which were supposed to be chocolate brown). She sent a text to my FSIL saying that her dress came in, and it fit perfect....but it was hot pink! My FSIL had a mini meltdown untill the MOH quickly sent her another text showing she was joking...and a picture of her in the BROWN dress!
AH! Yeah, a little big. I did the same to a point. I am looking for some cute and chic looking boleros for my gals to wear and I sent them a link to basically a lingerie patterned website and the "bolero" covered the shoulders but merged into just lace covering the boobies. Tummy was bare with a poofy skirt! HAHA I got no response. Finally had to tell them to breathe. I don't want my girls look like hookers :o
Oh that's mean! But I think the flower WOULD be cute, if it were smaller, haha!

I definitely did that! I found a picture of this hideous orange dress (no offense the bees who are having an orange themed wedding...but this was the color of grossness to me), and I sent it out to my bridesmaids. I told them it wasn't the exact dress, but the color I wanted. I didn't hear a peep back until my MOH was like, "ok, we took a vote, we love you and will wear the color if you want us to, but we think you're full of sh*t." Haha...she totally called me out on it 
haha. you do have good bridesmaids that not too many of them said anything!
I told mine that if they didn't behave I would make them wear butt bows. tee hee
I don't think my BMs would believe me, and if they did, I'm pretty sure they would all say no. Gotta love the honesty :)
No, I haven't but my MOH played a trick on me. On April Fool's Day, she emailed to tell me that she wouldn't be able to stand up for me as her dad needed to take a hunting trip and she wouldn't be able to have the time off. By the way, what made this MOST beleivable is that she works for her family's small business and since we've been friends FOREVER, her dad always always take off in October to go to CO for hunting.
She thought that I would know immediately that it was an April Fool's joke, but I was out of town on business stuck in meetings for four straight days, and didn't even realize what day it was!
She got a good laugh!
Haha. I admit, when I see the big flowers, I'm so jealous of the girls that can pull it off, but to be honest, I'd die if I had to wear one! I think I'd look so silly. But I still love them so much! :)
I mean, the flower is pretty ... so I probably wouldn't have completely thought you were joking even though it is rather large. Either way, good trick! Sounds like you have a supportive group of ladies behind you!
HAHAH! I told my girls that I wanted a rustic twist to my wedding, so that morning we'd go into my dads yard and pick up the changing leaves and lake bouquets out of them. While they walked down the aisle, theyd sprinkle them so rather than flower petals Id be walking on leaves. Not a terrible idea mind you, but our wedding is nautical/english garden flowers (and a navy/white color scheme) so the leaves ewre really out of place. They thought I was insane and were pissed that they were beng turned into flower girls hahahahahhsa

I came across this flower which is very pretty, but rather big. My bmaid dresses are the same color. I sent them this flower in an email and said, "Look at the hair flower I bought you guys!" No one responded except for one gutsy girl who bbmed "Is this a joke?" I said, "No, it will look good in the pictures!"
I have really really good friends because no one said anything or complained. I have since started telling them that it was a joke and they are all relieved! They said they were complaining to their SI's! I am too much.
Has anyone else played tricks on their bmaids? ;)
