Weddingbee boards

I've only been engaged for just over two weeks, and we're just starting to plan a May 2011 wedding.  Yesterday, my classes were cancelled at the last minute.  My grandmother was over, so I suggested that her, my mother, and I casually go check out some bridal stores.  I'd done some browsing online, and wanted to see if the dress I was envisioning actually existed, and if so, if it would suit me!  I was thinking a trumpet or mermaid style, sweetheart neckline, rouched bust (i'm a little flat hehe), some form of waist accent, slim fitting through the waist and hips, and in a off-white satin of some sort.  I didn't want it to look plain, but also not busy.

So we walked into a bridal salon, no appointment or anything.  They managed to squeeze me in.  The consultant grabbed a few dresses, and I spotted one that I had to grab as well.  well, they all looked beautiful, but when I tried the one I had picked, I just new it was perfect for what I wanted, and the wedding style I was imagining.  It was a little over the budget, but not ridicuous.  So I just decided to go for it and order it :) 

Turns out its actually the new Mae dress by Sottero and Midgley.  I thought it was just some 'no name' designer, so I was excited to find a picture of it in a new magazine for my scrapbook.  Plus 'mae' is an appropriate name if i'm getting married in May hehe.  Here is the link:

I get to go back in next week and take some pictures in it.  I can't wait to do that, as I actually think it suits me a bit better than the model!
