I really want a colored stone. Should I find a stone to replace center stone?

I don’t think I’d go with a colored center stone with your setting… because to me, it would really look like an eye. And once I saw it, I wouldn’t be able to unsee it. So I’d probably get a whole new head that wasn’t so eye-like.

angyjaxon:  Hahaha oh noooooo. I actually just Googled some marquise halos and not all of them look like eyes, so I don’t think it’d be as worrisome as I initially thought. Like this pink one is beautiful:

ETA: I think the smaller/thinner the halo, the less eye-like it looks to me, so the more I like it.

I also think a marquise cut gemstone would look better in a dainty halo setting like the one posted above. I think the setting your SO picked out is kind of dated and this one is a more modern version.

If you want pink and are rough on your rings then I suggest going with a pink sapphire or pink moissanite.

Here is a ring I found you might be interested in. It’s a barely pink marquise cut moissanite from joseph schubach jewelers (I highly recommend them). I do believe they are the only company to have pink marquise moissanite , I have never seen this cut in any fancy colors on any other moissanite website.
