- Wedding: July 2011
I’m dying to get married in an old fashioned courthouse. The courthouse in my town is new and modern and cold. No thank you. I found this amazing courthouse that is in a nearby city.
It was built in 1858 and is no longer used as the town’s city hall but can be rented out for weddings. However, they were extremely rude and told me that if I book my ceremony there and someone offers to pay more money for the same day, they would cancel my ceremony and take the wedding with more money. That just put me off right away.
I did then find another historic courthouse. But this one is still the town’s city hall. I guess I’m not sure how actual city hall weddings work. Can you rent out a courtroom for a real ceremony? I want to have all my friends and family there and be able to play music and do the silly things that I’ve been dreaming of since I was little.
I guess what I’m asking is, can you have a real, intimate wedding at a functioning courthouse? How can I make this work? =]
