Ok, so yesterday I came home to find an eviction notice on the floor of my apartment. Obviously I was upset and angry since we did nothing to get evicted. So I went to the front office to figure out what the heck was going on. They had just closed but there was one lady inside. I knocked on the door and she looked confused and annoyed any the same time. When she opened it I explained that I needed to talk to somebody about this notice. (A 3 day notice to vacate and I was NOT going to just let hours widdle away!) She told me they were closed and to come back tomorrow. Uh, NO! This wasn’t just a simple, I wanna pick something up kind of thing! I was being forced out of my home! She refused to talk to me and just became very rude and told me to leave. Yes, I know business hours are over but uhm… Why the F am I being told I no longer have a place to live? Excuse me for holding you up on your drive home but if this doesn’t get resolved I wont have a home!
Yes, I was pissed. Yes, I was upset. But how about, SOME kind of help! Even if it is a “This is who you need to talk to tomorrow”. No. All I got was a “leave, we are closed”. I saw that she had been talking to somebody else and so I asked her who that was and if I could talk to them. Her responce? “That’s my business. Now leave”. She then told me it was the leasing administrator. Uhm, this involves my lease! So the otehr lady came out and tried to figure out what was going on. The first lady just pushed past me and left. Fine. Atleast I was being helped at that point. Even if it was to simply say “It looks like we have no record of payment”. Ok, fine. Now I know what I have to figure out. So flowers show up for the first lady and the lease admin calls her back for her flowers. Yay! She gets flowers for V-Day! (They were really pretty and I even complemented her on them)
So I go home. Obviously still upset and freaking out. The next morning FI goes to deal with the accountant to figure out what we can do (and luckily they dropped the eviction and the late fees since it wasn’t maicious and was purely a mix-up) but while he is there he overhears the lady talking about how I ruined her V-Day because I was yelling at her and how she thought I was going to attack her. WTF? I neer made a move toward her. Never even tried to put my foot inside the threshold! Sure I was yelling. She was being a bitch and I was kinda in a freak out mode! (a lot of it was in the way she was saying things. Like I was being rediculous and a major burden)
Good thing I didn’t go with him. I probably would have been a smart ass and said something along the lines of, “try getting an eviction notice of V-Day because of something that wasn’t your fault and then having to deal with somebody as unwilling to help you from becoming homeless and then tell me how your V-Day turns out.” Seriously….
Ok. Rant over. Thank you! I feel much better. lol
