I was hoping to get some opinions on what I should do.
A couple weeks ago I said yes to a dress that I really do love and was surprised as it was not what I thought I’d been searching for. I did cry when I put it on. It’s the Paloma Blanca 4465. It’s light and airy and has this timeless elegance to it that I didn’t realize I loved! I also had always thought I wanted beading, but when I put on this dress I felt it stood on it’s own, and the flower belt was enough detail so it didn’t need beading on top of it.
However…. there is a new dress from maggie sotteros fall 2014 line that I saw and my heart literally leaped. It’s the Esme Marie, it looks very similar to the popular Esme style except it’s an organza skirt that does not look as full as the esme tulle skirt. I tried on the Esme while dress shopping, and I was IN LOVE with the heavily beaded bodice but the skirt was COMPLETELY overwhelming on my 5’0 petite frame. I remember thinking if only this skirt wasn’t so full it would be PERFECT… and now, Esme Marie comes out..
I wanted to get some opinions on how you girls think I would look in the Esme Marie, and also a picture of my dress I said yes to. Be honest, which do you like better? Since Esme Marie is not being carried by my salon yet – They said they charge $85.00 to fly the dress here for me to try on. I’m trying to decide if I should do this.. or if the dress I already got is the one for me. Please help 🙁

Thanks in advance for your help 🙂

nicoleylo: I love the Paloma Blanca dress on you.

Honestly? I think you should try the other one on – I do feel that the one you bought is a bit bulky on the skirt.

Try it on… I think you look stunning in the one you have but the veil and the skirt kinda run into eachother and its hard to see the little details you love…
I think you’d look AH-MAZING in the esme marie! It is simpler (style-wise, not detail wise) and I think it would suit a small frame ( I am 5’0 too!)

I would definitely try on that MS!

nicoleylo: the skirt on the one you already have is soooo pretty! I honestly like it more than the esme anyway. And it goes much better with your sash than the other one would.

I like the first one. I think you get lost in the second one–it’s so big and so much is going on!

I love the first one!!
The second one looks great on you, but the veil seems to be a little much (I think it’s because it has the thick border on it to match the dress). Maybe try a simpler veil with it?

Honestly, I would pay the $85 to have peace of mind either way.

i LOVE the first one!! I think you should try it on!

i like your current one the best. you need to stop looking at dresses or else you will ALWAYS find something better. its just how it goes, there are always new and possibly “better” dresses. eventually you’ll just have to stop and be ok with what you have

The Paloma Blanca is gorgeous. The Maggie looks like two separate pieces that a teenager might wear to prom.

I honestly can see you rocking the Maggie sottero. It’s not too much on you and it’s the right amount of sparkle and I think will fit your body shape better.
The second one is nice too but it looks a whole lotta dress for your petite body. I think you should show off that body shape of yours!!!

I would pay the $85 and have no regrets whichever you chose
