Beautiful! Don't be hard on yourself about bridal sizing. We've all be brainwashed by vanity sizing that we don't know what is what anymore. I believe bridal sizing is true sizing. I'm a street 16 and ordering a 20. Doesn't bother me at all because I look amazing and SO DO YOU! LOOK AT THOSE CURVES!
OMG!! **blushing so hard** THANKS SO MUCH YOU GUYS! I wasn't sure I could pull the dress off but you guys have definitely given me the extra bit of positive reinforcement I needed to know I made the right choice. I love the dress and felt gorgeous in it. I encourage other plus size brides to try it on for themselves.
Special shout out to Miss Tattoo...thanks for your post
You look amazing in that dress! I wish I had your curves!
OMG!!!!! CONGRATSSSSS!!! Were you at RK Bridal??? I was there today, and said yes to the dress too!!!!!!!
Wow what a body! nice curves. I am a size 16 and never tried on trumpet or mermaid thinking that a bigger gal couldn't pull it off. You have proven me wrong. Kinda sad now I never game em a try. Congrats! You are gonna knock you man's socks off!
Gprgeous!! Don't feel bad about the sizing either. I had to order 2 sizes up and I was sad at frst too, but at the end of the day.. who cares? You look awesome!!
@1112bride: YES as a matter of fact I was at RK Bridal (at 11am - 1pm). Where you there at the same time? Where you one of the wonderful women that encouraged me to get this dress?
Such a small world! BTW, congrats on picking your dress too! What did you pick?
@luvmyDwight: Thanks for the compliment! As I said, I didn't think I could pull it off because I am technically "plus size" and it is a very fitted dress BUT it actually felt great on! This is exactly why I posted it so that other lovely plus sized brides can see that they may be able to pull it off as well.
To all the other lovely bees who posted such nice and encouraging words....THANK YOU! I haven't felt this good about myself in a long time and it's nice to know that some people DO appreciate a curvy woman. CELEBRATE YOUR CURVES LADIES!!!!
I love that dress on you! And that veil goes perfectly too.
@VegasSukie:OH HOW FUNNY! I was there about 3PM, so I just missed you! I worked with Jo and she was amazing!!!
@1112bride: She really was great (had a leopard streak in her hair, right?). I saw your dress and it is divine. When will your be coming in? maybe we'll run into each other at our first fittings lol.
@VegasSukie: Thank u so much for ur post. I saw the dress in a book and thought there was no way it would look good on someone my size ( because Im not a 2) but we r the same size and u look awesome. U gave me the courage to try on dresses like that. :o) Thanks!!
@Tynijah: I literally just logged on for the first time in days and saw your reply to my post. That's exactly what I was hoping to do. Go out and try on whatever you like because you would be surprised to see what you actually look good in. Best of luck to you and remember....work those curves!

Well Bees, I'm happy to say it only took 2 shopping trips for me to find THE dress. I wanted to share it with you all so that other plus bees could see how it fits on a fellow plus sized bee. I am a street size 14/16 (closer to 14) but had to order the dress in a size 20
but the salesgirl assured me that the sizes run small and that they would probably need to take it in since the dress I tried on was an 18 and almost fit perfectly.
In case you couldn't tell from my post title, the dress is a Mori Lee 1602.
Here are some pics.
