i'm soooo tired but i'm headed to the gym in 10 min. we can do it miss taffy!
You can do it Taffy. Saturdays are rough (that's why I make them my off day) but just imagine how awesome you'll feel when you are finished!
I am so with you!! Saturdays I like to go for 4 hours, but sometimes I'm lucky if I even make it...like today...it's a slumpy day
just got back! it's always hard getting there, but you always feel great afterwards!
Think about how good you'll feel after you do it! That definitely helps motivate me. I always feel great afterward, and the post-gym shower is the best kind of shower there is.
This is exactly what I need this morning -- the fact that all you ladies already WENT to the gym, way to bee!!! Ugh, now if only I could get the same motivation for myself .... maybe in a little while.
Has anyone else ever actually smiled on the treadmill?? I had one day this week when I couldn't believe how fast and how long I was running and I couldn't stop smiling. I think the gym people think I'm crazy. And last night they turned the lights off on me!!! (I shut the place down, hehe!)
I only smile on the treadmill when I'm done! :)
Or maybe if something funny is on TV.
I am so sore today from my last "yogarobics" workout. I made myself get out and at least move the lactic acid around. Taffy, you've just motivated me to get to the gym tomorrow morning!

Thank you for the post, I got my lazy but out of bed (eventually) and got to the gym. It helped to think that others had the same problem this morning. ![]()
This thread motivated me to get up this morning and go for a run outside (in the freezing cold!) - thanks ladies! I needed something to jolt me out of my lazy slump!
I forced myself to hit the elliptical tonight for 40 min because I ate so much at miss martini's bachelorette party last night. I'm so proud of myself -- that's 4 workouts this week.
I didn't work out at all last week...but I pulled out my trusty pilates DVD and did it! Now I just have to make sure I work out tomorrow...and the next day...and the day after that...
I'm ready for more! I'm out to do some errands, then it's time to bust out the hand weights. ;)
I'm looking forward to going to the gym after work tonight because my cousin just told me she put my bridesmaid dress (for her wedding) in the mail today -- and I want to fit into it!!!!
I just downloaded the new Brittney Spears song that has everyone throwing a fit and it's so bouncy and fun I can't wait to run to it! Yay the gym!!
Yes! Getting there is the hardest part. I have shamefully been known to stay extra-late at work and use that as an excuse to skip the gym. But when I get there I feel awesome and I definitely smile on the treadmill!
Crap. This was me this morning, only I didn't lace up my shoes and now I feel even sleepier and guilty for not going. Sigh. Tomorrow's my usual day off, but I'll make sure to hit the gym in the morning to make up for my lazy-bum today!
The best part about working out in the morning is the lack of crowds! Last night, I took two classes at my gym (Zumba and yoga), and all the machines were taken and the weights area was crowded. I went to the gym this morning to do weights and the elliptical and there were maybe 20 people in the place. Glorious!
Though it is very tough to get up early to work out, especially on a weekend. But good for all of you for doing it!
