Of course if you've read any of my previous posts on flowers you know that we're going with silks. I put one together today and I love the result. Very full and elegant looking. I love the damask ribbon and damask table square combo. Once I add all the other elements, they'll be awesome! There is gonna be vase filler and lights on the inside, crystals hanging from the arrangement, red and clear crystals scatter around on the table aquare and four red votives around the vase.

EDIT: Don't mind the mess on my table...this is my craft area. Lol.

Those look great so far.  Love the damask!  Can't wait to see it with all of the elements put together.

    Great job!

    Hi!
You're right, it's very full and elegant!

    Couple comments:

I think the damask ribbon can be lowered slightly. From the angle you're taking the picture I feel it needs more space from the bottom of the flowers to where the ribbon starts. Unless you were intentionally making sure there is no gap.

I like the idea of the vase fillers and light. Not sure about the crystals.

And personally I would go with the scatters or the votive lights. I tend to think all that becomes too much. For me, at least.

    Great trial!!!

    msterrapin: (date twin!!) Thank you!

    leelee: Thank you!

Gerbera: Thank you! I perposely put the ribbon that way. I don't want the two damask items that close together. Thanks for all you suggestions. Once I put them all together I'll know if I need to take anything out. I love my crystal scatter tho. ;-)

soon2beemrsm: Thank you! These are velvet roses from efavormart.com

I think the votives and tealights TOGETHER will look great - all the different heights will mix it up nicely.

sidenote:  you're brave for leaving scattered crystals on the table -- I'm afraid between my FI's friends and my own family the crystals would be flung all over the room after too many drinks!!

    VERY BEAUTIFUL centerpeices though  :o)

    Wow it's beautiful!!

Question, what are you going to hang the crystals off of?

Also, WHERE DID YOU BUY THOSE VASES AND HOW MUCH WERE THEY?  i LOVE THEM

mrs jkh: Thank you. Lol about the scattered crystals. I trust them. I hope they don't let me down.

    Bella: Thank you.

Wendy: I got my vases at Michaels. Thank you. They are the 20inch high square vases. I used 50% off coupons so I think I paid like 6 or 7 dollars each or something like that. You can only use one coupon per person each day so me and the man went everyday for a week til we got all 10.

Actually if it were me, i'd only do the votives surrounding it and the filler and light inside.  I do agree w/putting the ribbon much lower, like halfway down.  It's so pretty.

I am a sucker for lights and candles.  Gives ambiance.  And as my aunt always said, "If you're going somewhere special, get completely dressed up and take off one piece of jewelry."  She also applied that to a table setting.  Take away one extra factor and you've always got understated elegance!!!  Keep the focus on the lovely arrangment and the lighting ambiance.
