I'm on my shower cards, but I can see how that could happen. My hand cramps up after only a few cards! To get my shower cards out I tried to do 5 a night and I'm almost finished. After that experience though I felt pretty grateful we only sent out 60 invites. So the most I could have to send would be 60...if only Mr.D had better handwriting!
Ugh, writing thank you cards is like a punishment for receiving gifts. Lest you should enjoy them too much, now you have to spend hours upon hours writing until your hand cramps up. I'd much rather just call people up and be done with it. It's only been a month since my wedding... but I'm definitely taking my time about writing them.
I wrote 3 thank you cards tonight. Every night I try to do some. My creativity is running dry!
Don't try to be creative or wordy! Just come up with a basic template and substitute in the gift that they gave you. Really, your guests just want to know that you received and appreciate their gift, no need to write the most meaningful letter ever.
I feel like it will be a year before I finish mine. So far it's been three months (and a week) since my wedding and I still have not sent them out. I'm about 25% complete though, so there is progress. Maybe I'll be done by the 6month mark.

Yup, one year has passed and I havent sent out all my thank you cards. I know this is really horrible but I swear I am very grateful that are guests were present at our wedding.... but I cant seem to finish them and mail them out. Ive done the ones that I can give in person... but the others... dunno when they will get them
