This is all very unpredictable and I would advise you to speak to your doctor. You went from one form of BC to another. Who knows how much the pill has even built up into your system yet? I was on the pill for 8 years. If I missed one here and there (which rarely happened), I could take it when I remembered and still be protected because the hormones were still in my system. But with having been on it a short period of time, it’s impossible to know if you were protected and whether or not you ovulated. Also, if you keep taking the pill without knowing whether or not you’re pregnant, it could harm the pregnancy. I think your only options are to see your doctor (they might not be able to tell you anything at this point but you never know) or wait it out and see of you get your period. Good luck!

PP gave some good advice. I just wanted to mention, to help remember yo take your pill, set a reminder on your phone at a convenient time. Don’t diamiss the alarm until you’ve taken the pill. It works!

No problem. I hope you get whatever outcome is best for you. It’s very understandable to be confused and hormones are a tricky thing. I doubt there’s anyway of knowing what is going on in your body right now… At least, not yet. I think the chances of pregnancy are slim, as you would have had to ovulate in such a small window of time, but if I were you I would wait it out and just be very cautious until you are able to go back on the pill (assuming you aren’t pregnant.) When I was on the pill, for the first year or so, I had an alarm set on my phone to remind me to take it. Maybe that would help? After that, I just kept the birth control with my daily vitamins so I remembered to take it every day. Good luck and hope to get an update from you!

I would wait two weeks and then test.

Almost all BC pills are effective within a week of taking them, but missing multiple pills is definitely an issue.

katy.pitre.5:  I hope I get your luck when I go back to TTC in a couple of months! I hope for a good outcome for you and I think you were smart to stop taking the pills until you know what’s going on.
