Okay, so I have some good ideas of some projects I want to do for the wedding. I went to Michaels yesterday with some “bonus” cash. I went a bit crazy, I am NOT crafty. At all.
So my projects are as follows (makes me shake just looking at it)
1. Ring bearer box. Bought a box, needs some mods, planning on making it like this:
2. Flower girls…Head wreaths and wands…gulp
3. Hanging tealights- this one doesn’t worry me so much, except I plan on frosting the glass and using LED candles instead of flames for fire safety.
4. Tears of joy packets- my concern stems from glue…I hate glue. I make a big mess.
5. My centerpieces…this is my inspiration
Plus we have to do our invitations. Oh lordy!
Bee’s grant me the strength to jump in over my head and get this stuff done lol. I’m going to need all the help I can get!
How many DIY projects did you tak eone? Did you manage to accomplish them all? Did they turn out the way you hoped?

I’m doing very little DIY, but take heart! You still have a lot of time left. Are any of your friends/family helping you?

That doesn’t look THAT bad to me if you have a fair bit of time not dedicated to work in the next three months. Definitely a lot of DIY though. I would suggest getting an invite assembly party going in the next little while. I did this, and it made it go really quickly and more fun. I pre-cut/printed all the pieces and had my friends together with (a little) wine to make it a fun day.

@Take The Reins: We are date twins 🙂 My suggestion is do one thing at a time, prioritize your list and set yourself a timeline to get each project done and then take a breath and have fun. Oh and for paper crafts I LOVE the XYRON roller glue, no muss no fuss, just fun.

The ring bearer box, tea lights and tears of joy seem to be the simpliest projects so if I had to choose, I’d pick those to tackle first. Then I’d get on the invitatons! I love DIY and you have very cute inspirations. Time is on your side tho…you can definitely finish before your wedding.
I DIYed my candy buffet, including the candy baggies, banner & sign, my card box, cake cutter, money rose toss bouquet, table numbers, Out of Towner welcome boxes, and dress hangers for me and the BMs. They all turned out great (at least I think so!).

Thanks Bee’s! We actually got started last night, Fiance was a HUGE help, without him I think I would have been crying in the corner lol. It went awesome and was so much less scary than I thought! I am so excited. We got the flower wands and ring box done in about 2 hours, with a little trial and error. See pics. Next up, head wreaths and TOJ packets!

They look great!
Pretty much our entire wedding was DIY and DH’s help made things so much easier! Starting early is definitely wise too. I made it my goal to be done all of my projects (except the names on the escort cards) a month before the wedding and we were pretty much successful. Other last minute things came up, so I am glad I wasn’t still worried about projects!

I am having these panic attacks as well. Only thing is our wedding is in 54 days and I can’t even think to get started on the DIY things until next week. And even then I won’t have a lot of time. Come Feb 27 I will have a lot more time though as the whole month of february we are traveling quite a bit.
UGH… I still have to figure out some ideas of what we want to do, I love your ring box however.

I haven’t started to many DIY projects just yet but I would be very interested in how yours turn out. Your theme is stunning.

They turned out great! Best of luck with the rest of them. I know I totally stressed about all of my DIY projects in the final months before the wedding so its good you are starting them now.
