- Wedding: October 2011
I admit that this is partly my fault. I think maybe I’ve been too much of a slack bride.
However, it’s 14 days away from my wedding and I have NO IDEA what the groomsmen are wearing OR if they even have outfits. I gave them loose guidlines of what I wanted, black pants, black shirts, red accessories. I don’t care how you do it, just make it look nice. If you already have that stuff, even better.
When I ask if they have picked out their outfits, I get answers like this:
“sheena, your wedding party is going to look awesome” – This is not comforting. WHAT THE FUCK DOES AWESOME LOOK LIKE?????
“I’m going to wear a green top hat with alligator slippers”
I’ve put up with the teasing like a champ. Laughed it off, trusted them to get their shit together. I don’t feel like I need to babysit a bunch of guys. One of them has already been married, he KNOWS what the stress is like (and where the fuck is his wife to get him his outfit??? lololol jk).
On top of that, they have talked and talked about a bachelor party for my Fiance, but no ones followed through with anything. There is one weekend left before the wedding, and that particular weekend we have my FI’s kids, which he would much rather spend time with, than go get drunk (which he doesn’t do hardly ever in the first place anyway). He says he doesn’t care, but I can tell he does.
These guys are majorly procrastinating and it’s stressing me out. I sent them a mass text message a few minutes ago asking for updates on their outfits. I’ve sent them 2 emails in the past and not ONE of them replied to either email. My Fiance has tried talking to them as well, and maybe he knows more than I do, but apparently no one is telling me ANYTHING.
I know it ill work out, I’m just venting and frustrated and I seriously am ready to rip all those boys heads off. Maybe my bridesmaids are too good and they stole any/all of the groomsmens ability to do anything away to add to their awesomeness… I don’t know. But I wish they’d give whatever they stole back, so that the groomsmen can just do something.
