I went to another store today because I have been feeling so stressed about finding the right dress and it just so happened that I got to try this gorgeous dress. I think I may have found the dress for me! I’m just worried about the colour and my colour scheme.
I really love it. But I never thought about this colour! I was going to choose a soft pink-lilac colour for bridesmaid dresses and white snd silver in the hall. Now I’m not so sure what colours I should be looking at. Any advice?

and I don’t see anything wrong with your color scheme

First, happy for you that you found the dress 🙂 congrates.
So why do you think your color scheme won’t match your dress? To me it sounds fine.
… unless i’m missing something?

@sevash: I think that colour scheme would look really nice! The dress is so pretty and soft looking! do you have any pictures of you in the dress?

I always thought gold looked better with ivory than silver. I think your lilac pink color will still look good, though!

@sevash: That gown is stunning! It’s super soft and romantic, just perfect. Do you know what the ivory of that dress looks like? Different companies’ ivorys and whites look very different. Like I had a Paloma Blanca and mine was ivory, but it looked almost diamond white. Some companies the ivory really does look ivory.
I think if there’s too much yellow, you’ll want to go for a white dress. If it’s a more white-ivory, I’d go for that to add a bit more “soft” feel to it! 🙂 I LOVE your color scheme by the way!

I can’t really tell what the dress color is, is it ivory? If it’s ivory, I think that would look even better with lilac or soft pink and the silver will still look fine as an accent

@sevash: Beautiful dress! I am also not understanding your color worry.
Anything that goes with white will go with ivory. I mostly tried on ivory dresses and was surprised to hear they weren’t white.

I think my concern is that I will have too many colours happening in the bridal party. The ivory wedding gown, groom and groomsmen in black suits, silver ties/pocket squares plus the bridesmaids colour. In case anyone is interested…this is Jasmine- Belsoie Style L154019 in Carnation. Here is a photo:
Maybe I’m being paranoid..haha. You know, you always hear “less is more” but it’s hard to imagine what would look like too little, or too much sometimes.
Thanks so much for all of your help!!

@LeafBride: The store where I tried it on had a really strict no photos policy. My mom was with me at the time and isn’t the best at using the camera on phones anyway. I respect the policy but having a photo just makes the decision easier.
The salesperson at the store was quite pushy and also insisted that I wouldn’t find it cheaper anywhere else; so I’m ordering it elsewhere and guess what…I found it for $200 cheaper! 😉

Wow your dress is so elegant and classic. It fits well into your color scheme…I don;t think there’s too much going on.

@sevash: I actually think I understand what you mean about the colors. The silver and lilac are cool tones, while ivory is warm. I think it should be fine though! Here’s a picture I found on the Jasmine’s website of a Carnation colored dress in an ivory room:

@cranraspberry: Yes! I couldn’t explain my concern very well; thank you for clarifying it for me! That is exactly what my concern is! Now that I see this colour against the ivory, I feel like I might need to take a second look at the colour for the bridesmaids.
Thanks again!! 🙂
