I was thinking of having a split shank, pave ring with an elevated and highly visible center stone but then I realized pave diamonds are not my thing per se and what I really like about that design is the center stone setting.
So after much looking I have come up with a new design that I love! It is modeled after an antique $5,000 ring I saw online with bezel set side stones. The profile would have the visible diamond which I am crazy about. My ring would be 14k yellow gold and moisanite. Do you like the new design better?

I kind of like the split shank a little better :/ I’m no help though because I have a twisted split shank.
Also, it could change my mind if I saw them on a finger. It might just be the picture that I like better lol.
They are both really pretty though, and the yellow gold is such a unique choice these days 🙂 unique is a good thing!!
And with the bezel set stones, they are probably much more less likely to fall out. So if that’s the one you love, go for it. I know with the smaller pave stones that’s sometimes an issue.

I like the look of the graduated side stones, I have a split shank myself but prefer the split to be more subtle- the focus of this split shank is more on the split shank than the center stone on the photo you have above so I prefer the second set!

Thanks for your replies! (I use exclamation points excessively on the internet. I’m not nearly so excitabl in real life lol).
@xlittlemissbridex: I won’t be able to try it on until it is actually finished, Yikes! I am having the ring made Shubach and their store is nowhere near where I live sothe whole process will be done over the phone and through emails etc. There will be a wax ring and a photoshop mock up (much better than the rudimentary ones I did on PicsArt) so I am not too worried about the outcome. I can even ask them to photoshop the ring onto my hand in scale which I will do.
@fitnflair: I should have stated that the split shank would be thinner and split closer to the stone. I still prefer the second look but I keep hanging my mind lol. I think this is the one though. Anyway this is more what I had in mind for the split shank which I downloaded onto my tablet computer after seeing it on this site.
