I posted a few weeks ago about some pricey necklaces I was thinking of buying my BM’s. Well you guys were right I REALLY should get something cheaper so I don’t strain my budget over something that they might not even love forever. So after looking at lots and lots of necklaces (and almost giving up) I think I settled on this one. But I still have nagging concerns that I haven’t chosen them well.
What do you think? Is it a keeper?
Below I have them in pictures on 2 of my BM’s in the dresses, as well as the stock picture of the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress and the necklace.
Here are the clutches I got them too

It’s cute but itsa not my style – its more of a statement piece – which can be fun.

Personally I don’t care for the necklace itself but I think it looks great with the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress.

@lovelyduckie: It’s not very versatile but it looks great with the bridesmaids dresses you’ve chosen. If they don’t break the bank, go for it!

Since this is something that you are asking them to wear for the wedding, then yes I love them!
It would be different if it were a necklace that you were getting them to wear outside the wedding, then I would suggest to get something that is a reflection of each of their personalities (personally, I love statement necklaces and would wear the heck out of this one) but not everyone feels the same.
In terms of how does the necklace look with the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress? I think it looks really pretty!

I kind of think that it’s too much. It doesn’t look bad at all, I just think you should go for something more simple…just my opinion.
The clutches are fantastic though! Love them! Where did you get them?

@hmmtmar: That’s part of my concern (the “too much”), usually I’m not into big statement necklaces so that’s what has me torn on them.
I got the clutches on Etsy. I really liked a few of her clutches and was torn: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AnnabelleMB

Personally I don’t like these statement necklaces with strapless gowns. It breaks up the long elegant line of the neck/shoulders/ collarbones down to the dress. So take that for whatever it’s worth to you. 🙂

Honestly, it looks too childish. I would go with a much simpler design so they can wear it again. Doesn’t have to be anything expensive. Maybe something like this?
ETA: love the clutch though!

@lovelyduckie: Yeah, I say the simpler the better 🙂 You don’t want to take away too much from the beautiful dresses.
Great! Thank you! I will have to check out that Etsy link 🙂

Definitely not my thing. I wouldn’t wear it outside the wedding, but it is lovely.

I like it! But then, I have gigantic knockers and strapless/low neckline gowns make me feel naked, so I like big statement necklaces to cover some skin. It definitely will probably be something most of them ONLY wear at the wedding, though, so if it was more than, say, 10%- 20% of the dress cost I would seriously consider something else.

I think it is a beautiful statement necklace but it might not be everyones style thats the only thing and they might only wear to your wedding and thats it so you might want to take into consideration the use of it after the wedding

@MexiPino: hahaha i was thinking the exact same thing.
