I think the problem here is that you are waiting to communicate until you explode. That isn’t healthy, and it is a horrible habit to get into if you want to be married to this person. Marriage = communication. Weddings = trial run for working together on major expensive and socially loaded decisions. You need to figure out a way to be open with each other about this in a way that eases both of your worries.

I don’t think you’re a b**** at all.  You explain that you have certain expectations for the relationship and he professes to feel the same way but then doesn’t follow through.  That would be frustrating for anyone!

Having said that, I think you’re right to let the subject drop.  You’ve made it abundantly clear what you need, and now it’s up to him to decide if he can give it to you.  Continuing to discuss the matter is tempting, but it’s a lot like scratching poison ivy – temporary relief followed by more intense itching.
