Where/How do I go about finding a wedding planner/coordinator in Jacksonville, FL or near by?  And what is the average price range?

I don't know about Florida, but having a wedding planner was the best thing we did for our wedding. My husband hired her and I think her fee was around $3,500. Check Weddingwire for reviews. Mine was recommended through our venue and she was amazing!!!!

I just hired mine 1.5 months out from the big day. Mine is going to take care of coordinating all the vendors I found on my own, set up all my DIY decor, rehearsal, and deal with things the day of. Mine is $900.

@SoonToBeMrs.K- We hired her early on in the process after booking the venue. She had a list of her preferred vendors and she set up meetings with everyone and then we decided which vendor to go with (photog, video, dj, caterer, etc. etc.). I gave her pics of what I liked and described what I wanted, she had a "file" on us and when we would meet with vendors she would have the info. and helped to put my vision into a reality. She set up our timeline for the day of the event. A week before the event she picked anything that would be used that day (toasting flutes, knives, some additional chandeliers I purchased, etc. etc. and she had it ALL at the venue ready to go. She and her team did absolutely everything. The day of our wedding, she came to my house while we all got ready and made sure our hair and make up stylists were all set/ photogs & video were there and off she went to pick up the custom cupcakes we ordered for our candy buffet. If you have an awesome person they will end up doing things you didn't imagine they would do. For example a few days prior to the wedding I realized I never bought our unity candle, she knew our decor of course and ran out and bought the perfect one for me, just so I wouldn't be stressed out. Personally, I think it's a great investment. Some brides are more DIY, I am not. :)
