@HopefulCatlover:  So pretty!!! I love the brown diamond and the oval halo! Ovals look really pretty with halos.

I agree with you, a plain band would be nicer with this particular ring. Oh, and is it just me or is the bezel rose gold, the halo white gold and the band yellow gold? It’s obviously a personal taste issue but I would stick to mixing two gold tones, three gold tones and a brown diamond is a little much for one ring, IMHO. But, like I said, it’s all personal taste.

I love brown diamonds. “Chocolate” is a term that LeVian came up with. They were technically termed Cognac/Champagne diamonds and most of the industry knows them as that. They are colored as C1-C7, with C7 being a rich dark brown. One thing to know about champagne diamonds is it is very difficult to get high quality ones without heavy inclusions. This is why we went sapphire rather than cognac diamond. Cognac diamond was a very high consideration on my list but we knew it was going to take us 6-12 months to find a stone the color and clarity I wanted in the size he wanted. Eventually we will purchase one for a 3 stone ring as an aniversary present or something but it wasnt a wait we were willing to deal with at the time. I was picky enough about the sapphire.

Actually, I think it is beautiful just as it is.  I would leave the stones on the band right where they are.  Somehow it ties it all together for me.  I stumbled upon my ring back in the dark ages after months and months of looking.  Once I found it I knew it was the one for me and never second guessed it at all.  Glad to see someone else had a happy accident!

@HopefulCatlover:  I’m sorry, I hope I didn’t offend you, I was under the impression that you were looking for opinions/suggestions – my bad!

Your diamond is gorgeous and the ring is really pretty too – and you love it, that’s the most important bit 🙂 Congratulations 🙂
