@tnbellebee: Oh dear. I've had a craving for citrus-y things lately, and I went through a phase where I ate grapefruits like oranges daily. Now I need to go get me some grapefruits!
There is this Mexican resteraunt back in my home state. They make the best rice and cheese sauce that I mix together. I've craved that like nothing else D: And it's impossible to get it because we live like 10 hours out. :| Last night I ate jalapeno peppers off pizza. I can't get enough of hot and spicy.
I've liked citrus ever since the nausea went away about 14 weeks, but I won't buy grapefruit so that I can't rub it in for my husband because he takes verapamil and so grapefruit is a big no-no. I've been all over oranges, orange juice, and even tart berries lately though!
Citrus is good. I've been eating tons of clementines because they're an easy snack. I also eat a lot more red meat than I did before I was pregnant - must need the iron since I take prenatals that don't contain iron.
Grapefruit sounds yummy! I've been into yogurt, pears, and peaches. A few weeks back it was vitamin water and yogurt covered raisins. I can't believe you were into Jalepeno chips! Spicy things are not tasty to me since I've been pregnant.
I've had waves of cravings, when I had nausea is was pretty much carbs (mostly bagels) because they helped me feel better then, it was anything pickled, extra points if it was spicy and pickled. Then it went to spicy, hot sauce, spicy tomato juice.. anything spicy. Now it's fruit, mostly strawberries and pineapple- so yummy!! I never know what is coming next haha.
@tnbellebee: The second we start TTC, I'm stocking up on every form of grapefruit I can find - juice especially!
I can't have grapefruit as if effects the proctection I get from my pill so the second I don't need/want the protection, I'll smell like a grapefruit too!
I want sour stuff..... lemonade, sour candy, dried california apricots, strawberry surf rider from jamba juice, pinapple...etc
Oh and carbs! Biscuits, waffles, pancakes, rice, croissants.., not good since I'm a diabetic but my dietician says I'm good cuz I don't eat large amounts. But when I'm nauseas that's all I can eat.
@MrsDTMajor: Yes! If it isn't spicey stuff, it's sour. I sat here and ate Sour Patch Kids while drinking lemonade. and now I want those War Head candies. It's out of control.
I've been all about the citrus fruit for my entire pregnancy so far (28 weeks on Tuesday). I am currently OBSESSED with grapefruit. Cannot get enough!
When I was pregnant I craved watermelon like it was insane, I thought for sure I was going to give birth to a melon.
Totally agree about the grapefruit! I liked them before getting pregnant, but now I can't seem to get enough. They're just so refreshing. I usually have a half with breakfast each morning!
I have gone crazy on grapefruit! It takes me so long to prepare it though and I have an aversion to any kind of chore (:/ cooking/ cleaning). I have been drinking grapefruit Izze.
I am going wild on Amy's cheddar cheese burritos. And every morning I drink chocolate milk. I also love Bearitos tortilla chips and greek yogurt mixed with guac. (This week, anyway!)
For the first pregnancy it was prunes and onion rings ( not at the same time! )
Second time around green seedless grapes till I thought I would deliver a bunch of grapes not a baby! LOL!

But I've been eating oranges, cuties, drinking orange juice like no ones business. Oh my gosh, it's amazing. Even have had the occasional grapefruit and pomellos (sp?)
Since my pregnancy started, I just LOVE oranges! They are just so juicy and refreshing.Mmmm

I hope I am not off the grapefruit...I reheated some leftover spinach casserole that I cooked last night...it was so delicious but it has a TON of cheese, and my tummy is not handling "rich" foods well right now. I ate a grapefruit with it and I tend to lump things together when I have an unpleasant experience with them!

Grapefuit has been a huge one for me too. Salt & Vinegar chips and salmon as well.
Cold chocolate milk and bananas, oranges, and apples
Orange juice. I never really drank it before but now I can't get enough! I got through about jugs a week.
Sweet potatoes.
Specifically, sweet potato sushi. In fact, I just ordered them, they are about to be delivered. A sh*tload of sweet potato sushi.

Well, it seems as if I've moved past jalapeno kettle chips and finally found a healthier craving...grapefruit.
I've been peeling them like oranges and eating them that way. Delicious (well, unless you happen to eat a little of the tough stuff, but aside from that delicious.)
I'm just happy that I've moved on to something that I actually don't feel guilty about eating....even though I'm sure I smell just like citrus.
