They’re both really pretty.  The second setting is almost identical to my setting, so I may have been a bit biased in my vote Smile  If you want a flat wedding band, it’s going to be easier to pull off with the 2nd option than the 1st option.

I like the first one best.  Are you OK with rocking a gap between your ering and band?

@showmethebling:  I haven’t picked my wedding band yet, but it will probably be a plain band to match my FI’s.  My e-ring setting definitely doesn’t need a curved band; it can work with a lot of different band styles.  The e-ring setting is palladium and I want to get the same for the wedding band.

@showmethebling:  I actually wasn’t very familiar with palladium at first, my FI was the one who picked the setting and metal.  Now that I’ve worn it for several months, I really like the palladium.  Very durable, no scratches or visible wear, and it looks as good as the day I got it.  I’ve heard it’s quite similar to platinum, but I’ve never compared them side-by-side.

@showmethebling:  I love the 4 prong and basket, but that’s what I have, so I’m biased!

ETA I also have palladium and I love it!

I like them both but I think I prefer the trellis with 6 prongs. I think you probably will have a gap with your wedding band, but it’s hard to tell that through pictures and some 3 stone rings are made to sit flush with a band. Can’t wait to see what you choose! What size stones will you have in it?

I like both settings but I love the first one with the six prongs, best.  Good Luck!

@showmethebling:  Well I voted 6 (cause I LOVE 6), but then I read that you don’t want a curved band. In that case, switch my vote to 4 because even though it won’t sit really flush you could still get away with a straight band with the 4 prong.

No, I want to change my vote back, lol. I am thinking with the 6 prong it comes out from the sides of two other prongs. So the gap would be slightly hidden by that extra prong and look like  less of a gap.

I think my sister-in-law-to-be has the 2nd setting! She has a very thin, plain metal wedding band that lies against the e-ring.
