3. Don't do a dang thing because I'm overreacting and the colors don't look that bad together
Yes. I think you're over analyzing. You should have the dresses, shoes, whatever, be the colors YOU like. It won't clash, it will be fine, and when everyone is having a great time and dancing and talking, trust me no one will be saying "Oh, why are her shoes silver if the venue it gold..."
No one but the bride is ever that observant.
Don't change anything, it will be fine and no one else will notice. I know our venue didn't match our colors, but no one noticed, not even me! Do what you want and what you have envisioned.
Don't change. It will be fine on the wedding day. I think the pink lighting would look nice, but I also think your colors will be fine with your venue even if you don't opt for the lighting.
Thank you for posting this, OP! I too was having the same doubts about venue colours vs. wedding colours (like yours, our venue is very brown/golds and our colours are white, silver/greys and red; my FH will also be in a charcoal suit) and wondering if they'd clash terribly... It's good to hear that people think no one will actually notice :)
Thanks everyone! I've been sick with a cold lately and I think I was just having some nyquil induced stress... =)
This is also what happens when you are a type-A, plan everything a million years in advance personality and have too much time on your hands until the wedding...

Ok, I recently decided to freak out about my colors. I knew that there was a potential for color clash when I booked the venue but I didn't think it would matter back then. Now, I'm not so sure...
My bridesmaids are wearing grey dresses and holding white or pale pink flowers. The groomsmen will wear charcoal ties with their suits. My flowers will be bright pink and the center pieces will be a mixture of pink shades and white.
My venue is very gold/brown/orange. I really think the decor will clash with my colors... so I've thought about changing them. What do you think?
1. Change grey to a more bluish tone, add neutrals/ivories/gold, limit flowers to pale pink/blush as an accent color. I love this color scheme but my shoes and dress are already silver
2. Keep my my colors because that's how i've always envisioned my wedding but pay for the upgraded linen/chairs
3. Don't do a dang thing because I'm overreacting and the colors don't look that bad together
Here are some pictures to help you vote...
Venue with free gold chivari chairs and natural lighting
Venue with silver chairs/linens, blue lighting, and white dance floor. I probably woun't do the blue lighting... maybe pink?
