I see so many beautiful dresses out there and my dress was never my top picks. I did like it when I put it on though and I do think it looks nice but it just seems like one of many dresses and isn’t the kind people would say “Oh, that is a beautiful dress!”.
When I showed to my mum (I live abroad so she did not go with me), she just went hmm. My mother-in-law was also” hm, it’s nice”.
Some of my friends think it’s pretty though and again, others think it’s a bit ho-hum.
I can’t afford to buy another dress for sure so I guess I’m hoping for some reassurance that the cut does suit me or maybe suggestions on how I could.. make it more pretty.
I have bought 3 veils:
i) proper mantilla veil, one-tier with really pretty lace
ii) 2 tier cathedral raw-edge
iii) 2-tier cathedral mantilla veil with .,..rather faint lace around the edges. Also not bad.
I have tried neither with my dress as I haven’t had my first fitting yet.

I think it’s beautiful and not remotely boring, it’s got a lot of detail and I think it’d look great with a mantilla veil

Your dress is beautiful the way it is!! I wouldn’t change anything about it! It is definitely a good cut for you. As far as the veil goes, I would probably go with the veil that doesn’t have lace, but that’s because I tend to like simpler veils better…but that’s just me.

Ok seriously that is a BEAUTIFUL dress!
Just remeber this: When you’re trying it on in the salon, you’re surrounded by shades of white/ivory/champagne so EVERY dress looks ‘plain & boring’ after seeing them all together. It’s like a ‘bridal lace sensory overload’.
Also, the photo of you in the dress has a bland background that’s the same colour as the dress. You blend in so much it’s not funny! It really sucks all the life out of your picture. The pic on a whole looks ‘ho hum’ cos it’s like a big picture of ivory!!
Also, on the day you’ll have your hair, makeup and flowers, your bridesmaids will be there and you won’t be standing in a bridal shop. Your dress is gonna SHINE.

The dress is classy, beautiful and you’ll look stunning.
If you’re really not convinced fine some accessories you love and hopefully that will make you feel a little more confident. I think a Cathedral veil would add drama and bring everything together perfectly.

Yes, it looks like many other dress profiles out there. But who cares? It looks great on you! And like the other ladies say, with the right accessories, you can get a very unique look even with a dress many other people might be wearing (which in your case I doubt). Think about the veil, flowers, other hair accessories, jewelry, pops of color, crinoline etc. You can modify until you feel comfortable in it. But if you’re more of a person who’d rather have a more modern or “unique” dress, well, then maybe it isn’t right for you?

I think it’s classic and lovely. If your Mother thinks it’s kind of ho-hum, then I’m not sure what exactly she was expecting. Your dress beautiful!

Your dress is gorgeous! Definitely classic, but you look stunning in it!

It’s definitely not boring!!! I actually think it has quite a bit going on and would opt for a more simple veil (though I love me a mantilla veil so maybe just not the two tiered one?).

I like this dress a LOT! Boring is the last word I would use to describe it. The bottom is absolutely gorgeous and it fits you so well!

Gorgeous dress, I think it’s fab. Also, I LOVE your friends’ shoes…you should try to get a pair of those for the big day 😉

I think it’s gorgeous! It’s a dress I would love to wear if I were smaller. No more stressing!
