i am taking 2 courses this summer to fulfill prereqs for the masters program i want to be in and i ordered a used book off amazon for one of my classes. for some reason when i ordered the book, amazon said it could not be tracked. after 2 weeks of waiting, i finally emailed the seller. he wrote back right away and all the sudden had a tracking number. when i looked it up it said the book had been delivered this morning. i came home and looked everywhere but the book is nowhere to be seen.
i live in a safe neighborhood with minor foot traffic, but i am guessing some a-hole stole it (dude you just got a 7-year-old used abnormal psych textbook… score!)
anyone ever had this happen before?? what steps should i take??

Contact the seller and amazon. Depending on how much the book was, they will probably send you another one or refund you. Or, it was delievered to the wrong place. I once was missing a package and the person dropping it off didnt feel comfortable leaving it so they left it with a neighbor.

This happened to us, they delievered it to (our number) WEST street instead of EAST where we lived.

Contact amazon customer service, they are great! I had a similar thing happen and I think amazon had to wait 30 days before they could issue a refund.

Someone stole a $350 Kate Spade dress I had ordered online for my rehearsal dinner off my front porch. Left the empty box and everything. Saks refunded me. Not sure if Amazon will, but it’s worth a shot!
