Yay! I’m so happy. I think it’s ridiculous the shut down occurred to begin with. I hope people remember this foolishness come election time.

This was the only option they could take. It’s infuriating that people were put out of work for a temper tantrum.

ETA: Americans, remember this on November 5th. Do not forget this happened and vote accordingly.

@kaylee26:  I am just really glad that those Americans who were sent home, can return to work.

I will be sure to vote accordingly next election.  I think it is time those who behave like children get sent packing..

Thank goodness it’s over.  I’ve had enough with the finger-pointing and namecalling, and really hope they can man up, pass a budget, and act like a real government.

Got my email from my agency this morning, report to work. 😀 I don’t have to go today, but now all the things I had planned on doing tomorrow will have to be done today.

Not that I’m complaining. I like having a paycheck. I also like that FI gets to keep his job too (his company funded them up to the debt ceiling but if we’d breached it they were going to start layoffs/furloughs O_O!)

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

And strangely traffic wasn’t nearly as craptastic as I thought it would be this morning, lol!

@abbie017:  Lol, I am just waiting for this to happen again in Jan/Feb. You know, cuz the next round of sequestration comes up in Jan.

So much for me getting a permanent position ANYWHERE after I finish school *harumph*

@icanhearyousmile:  Ugh, I know.  Maybe they’ll get their act together and pass a budget before then?  Hahah, I know, I’m a comedian.

I agree on traffic too — it was not dramatically heavier today.  I also go in at like 5:15 though, so… I luck out with easy traffic most days

@abbie017:  You are a comedian! 😀 Actually, my GPS took me around the clogged road down onto 295 and then I hopped off shortly after to avoid the congestion bc of an accident further down. So if I had gone my normal route to school today it definitely would have taken the full hour and a half (for what is supposed to be a 45 minute drive :P).

Tomorrow will be interesting, I leave my house at 6:30 but that’s still fairly “late” for this area, lol. YAY BELTWAY! O_O!

While I’m glad it’s over I’m sad that our government is SO dysfunctional that we’ll be dealing with this all over again in a few months.

The republicans got NOTHING they asked for So it was literally pointless. Kinda made me sick to watch the news with them smiling and pretending like what they did was heroic.

@Laurenskii:  Agreed.

I’m so glad all the government Bees and their SOs are able to return to work! 🙂
