    HAPPY!!!!!

I am SO excited about our menu!! Here is a bit of a backstory, quickly...
I have been having a lot of issues. Money issues, groom issues (not cooperating) BM issues, just everything.
Well, I used to be a big restaurant girl... Its my passion. I have done everything in them. I used to be a chef (and wouldnt dare make my own food on my wedding day and ADD that stress!!!)
So, as you can imagine, I am picky about what food i wanted to serve to my guests!
At first we were going to go with a, for the lack of a better word, hole in the wall little italian place near us. Its a mom and pop place, and we figured we could give them some business, plus the food is pretty good. WELL - i wasnt too thrilled about this, but i was settling. The buffett was going to be about $2,300.00.

    We are having 120 guests.

BUT, i was reallllllly hating that idea, AND we are having a dry reception so some things started to change. Instead of being at 5 pm. its now at 2. So i wanted Lunch food. Grazing food. Finger food.

SO, i called up my old chef and asked if he would help. I didnt want to abuse his friendship and ya know.... BUT, he said OF COURSE -- Plus, i cooked at his wedding for him. So last night FI and I went to his house, and after MUCH deliberating....

Tell me what you think of this....

We are going to do 5 stations under the tent:

    Station 1:
    Hot food-
    Kobe Beef Kabobs!
We will have a spread of Kobe Beef sliced, skewers in a Mason jar (like the centerpieces). Different peppers, onions, cheeses, pineapple, etc. As well as sauces and you will put together your own kabob!

    Station 2:
    Hot Food -
    Pulled Pork sliders!
Big container of Pulled pork with ALL the trimmings!!
Buns, lettuce, onion, tomato, cheeses, veggies, sauces, etc...

    Station 3:
    Cold Food -
    Fruit and Cheese!
Chef is going to make us a big display of all kinds of fruits, cheeses, breads, crackers, some fruit dips, etc.

    Station 4:
    Cold Food -
    Finger Sammies!
We will have 4 different kinds of sandwiches.
    1. Chicken salad. pretty basic, for the non exploring person.
    2. Turkey, lettuce, tomato, cheese
    with various sauces to accompany.
    3. Apply, Ham and Brie
    THIS I AM EXCITED ABOUT!!
    4. Smoked Salmon and cucumber.
    A classic finger sandwich.
    - ALL of these will be on various breads... Chibata, grain, french, white, asiago

    Station 5:
    Cold Food -
    Sampler Table Basically!
-Asparagus wrapped in Prichutto (cant spell that. lol) with grape tomatoes around it
    and balsamic reduction.
-Caprese Kabobs - Mozzarella ball, grape tomato, basil
-Vegg!! Basically just a huge display of all kinds of veggies, broccoli, carrots, celery, etc also with Pita bread and Hummus.

Then of course our favor for the guest is a candy buffet, so that station is available, including our wedding cake!!!

    Sound good?!?! :)

OHHH and the kicker --- THIS is all going to FOR SURE feed well over 120 people... and its all for around $750!!!  But i will tip him, and what not, plus, I have to buy drinks and jazz. BUT HOT DIGGITY DOG!!!!

Nice! Congrats!(I'm going to sound like a Debby owner below, I'm sorry - I don't mean to!)

The only thing I would say (because I know so many people like this) is make sure if you have any guests with food allergies, vegan, jewish (or other specified religions with food things), gluten-free, etc. in case anything needs to be labeled or separated in the set-up.

If you don't need to worry about that, that's alright! :)  But I know I will! For myself even! :(
