Weddingbee boards

I think a vendor may be faking good reviews to make up for all of the substandard ones he has received! I left out his name and address in this post, since I can't really be sure, and I don't want him coming after me or something-- but this seems really suspicious! How often does a vendor get ratings of 0.5, 0.7, 1.2, 1.5, 1.6 twice, two reviews in the 3-4 range, 3 reviews in the 4-5 range, and then miraculously receive 28 glowing reviews with a perfect 5 out of 5 rating-- which just happen to balance out the really low ratings in order to leave the vendor with a great overall rating?

From the writing style and tone, all of these perfect-rating reviews look like they've been written by the same one or two people. These "5 out of 5" reviews don't mention even ONE little thing they'd change about the vendor, and there are at least two pairs of nearly identical reviews made from different weddingbee accounts with different wedding dates. Two reviewers with different names write, "They say they have been in business for 82 years.well it definitely shows. They were right on, with my colors, and feel that bruce and I wanted for our special day..." Seriously? How many Bruces are there with fiancees who happen to write the exact same comments?

Moreover, these don't sound like the intelligent weddingbees I've come into contact with on this site. To me these sound like a man who's trying to come across as some ditzy bimbo version of what he imagines a weddingbee to be, like this one: "THIS WAS OUR MOST FAVORITE VENDOR. THEY ARE SO NICE. SO GIVING!HAD A CHANCE TO MEET [XXX], WHAT A WONDERFUL MAN. HE GAVE US THE ASSURANCE THAT OUR WEDDING WOULD BE PERFECT, AND YA KNOW, IT WAS!..."

Several of them just sound like ads, some even giving really specific details about the vendor, like his years of service or charitable contributions. This one definitely sounds like an ad to me: "This florist is no match for others. Why waste your time!The service and care are incredible!..." Another mentions the address in the first sentence-- which is more of an advertiser move than a reviewer move-- and is SNARKY about a low-scoring review: "anyone to say anything negative needs to have the head examined,(saying it politely, Their contract is WONDERFUL, it is in 3 chapters..."

This is really enraging to me, partly because I'm just insulted by the way this man seems to think we bees act and write! From the reviews that seem authentic, this vendor sounds like a condescending guy who belittles the young women who come to him and doesn't offer quality service. And from the reviews that seem faked, I get the feeling that he thinks very little of women and of brides' "big days" in general. Plus, if it's an ad, this guy should put up an ad; the reviews are there for real brides to tell about their real experiences. Make sure you read through the reviews of vendors very carefully! Don't just judge them by their overall scores. I would suggest sorting the posts by the lowest ratings and then by the highest ratings to ensure you get an accurate picture of the vendor.
