- Wedding: February 2015
We haven’t seen it in person yet, so that might change our minds but I have a feeling it won’t because it’s DISNEY!
They have an intimate wedding package available and we’ve been struggling for the past week coming to an agreement on the guest list. There are people in my family I just do not want to invite. Period. My mother thinks I should extend an invitation to all of them and just hope they decline because they “probably” will. We struggled with whether to do it in state (where we will have to fly out of state to get the actual license because same sex marriages are not legal here) or out of state where we will likely have to pay for flights for at least 2 or 3 guests because of the financial burden on them. It’s easier on those guests if it’s local obviously.
The package Disney offers isn’t perfect since it’s only a cake and champagne reception but the wedding planner will help us set up a private dining lunch or dinner after the wedding at a Disney resort where we can take all the guests & pay for a meal & sit around enjoying each others company (and our wedding day!) The package includes a MAXIMUM of 18 guests which is perfect because everyone will (should) understand that there were strict limitations. If it weren’t for this we would have to invite like 45-50 people when in reality there are only around 25 people we want there.
I’m excited bees! It’s still a good ways out but just having the “in state/out of state” “invite/not invite” shit out of the way is really nice!
