@jenniferleighh:   They’re neat!!  Very nice choice!  Personally I’m not a fan of the “bride flattened against the wall” look, but her other angles and images were great!  Two thumbs up from me!!

@jenniferleighh:  Not my thing and I personally would not choose her. That being said, all that matters is that you and your FI love the style. Photography is so subjective as it is.

not the worst i’ve seen & not the best, but as long as you like it, that’s what matters

Photography is a personal choice so if you like her and are comfortable with the price, go for it! There’s no sense in paying more for a photographer if it isn’t your ‘thing’.

@jenniferleighh:  You asked for honesty, so I’m going to be very honest. I’m not a big fan. On one hand, I wasn’t surprised to read that she’s been doing this for 30 years because a lot of the pictures/poses seem very dated, so maybe they’re just older pictures. On the other hand, I’d think with 30 years of experience, she’d have a better eye for some of the bad shadows/angles that were going on. It also doesn’t really look like she does much for photo editing besides maybe editing the color saturation/etc. Not much skin smoothing/sharpening/cropping/detail work.. But if you don’t care about the editing, then that’s fine!

I guess if I were looking for someone within a certain budget, I would feel comfortable going with her, but she wouldn’t be my top choice.  And if you feel comfortable with her and her personality, that does go a long way! Good luck with whatever you decide!

I honestly don’t like her photographs. Nothing is wrong with them, there is just nothing special about them. However, I am very picky about pictures and have high standards are what is acceptable for me, but if you like them then that’s all you need to make your decision ! Good luck (:

I was in the same boat–photography is not my thing. I don’t feel like I can recognize a good picture and it isn’t a huge deal to me either. I was so relieved when we picked someone. Congrats!

They are no good. I’m sure she’s a wonderful person but that looks like someone’s first wedding, not 30 years of experience. I’m sorry. I know that sounds harsh.  Generally as you progress prices go up, not down. Sorry.

That being said, they are YOUR wedding pictures. If you like them and you like her why does it matter what we think?

@jenniferleighh:  I am a huge connoisseur of good photography as I modeled for 5 years. Most of the pictures in this person’s portfolio, should not be pictures in someone’s portfolio. They should be thrown out. I know that sounds harsh, but they’re just not quality.

I have a friend from high school that is a internationally famous photographer in your area, Unfortunately she only does babies. She used this person for her sister’s wedding: http://www.bobbiandmike.com/index2.php#/gallery3/2/

If they are too expensive or are already booked, you can ask them for their recommendations.

Remember you’re going to only have one wedding, and in my opinion, you should spend as much money on photography as you can afford to. These are pictures you should NOT skimp on.

I would keep looking.  If you are not into photography and just want simple coverage she could be an option.  Her special of $ 995.00 is cheap.  However her work reflects that too.

@jenniferleighh:  Very average, a little too boring for my taste. But no complete awful photos! Doesn’t seem like you have the best selection where you live! For $995 is is fine, so don’t pay a penny over that if you do go with her. (I am a professional photographer)
