I never thought our guest list would spiral out of control... but it has!! We went from having 130 people.... to 190.

Is it bad I'm hoping for some declines?! I'm kinda freaking out here a bit. It's our fault for letting it get like this.... but I had no idea we went so far over our original number until I did the invitations tonight. Anyone else in the same boat?

i wanted our guest list to be between 150-200. my mother insisted that all of her family be invited (b/c my parents are paying i cant stop her), mostly distant relatives that i have never met. our guest list is around now around 330 and i hate it. im praying for declines. haha i hope that makes you feel better :)

Awww that's rough! I feel your pain though, my FI's side wanted to invite all of these distant relatives that I've never met. They offered to pay and had good/legitimate reasons as to why they wanted to invite them... but still, it's scary to see that number go up!

We've also just over-invited friends, which I knew was going to happen. Here's hoping for some declines! lol.

its crazy. i mean, i understand that theyre family and all, but 330 people is a lot of mouths to feed. & im beyond grateful that my parents are paying for our wedding...i dont see the need to invite people that we never talk to.
